I figured it might be a good idea because everyone else will have them...
I really wanted to make a few runs on my street tires to try and beat my PR but it looks like I may have to mount DR's to my stockers...poor me!

Yeah...I deserve that. I really thought that I'd alway run my street tires but now that I have the bug (for the strips) I want to preserve my T1R's. I knew you would chime in and nail me on that one!

your goingto need 18x8.5-10" you can do a 17x8.5 16x8 the rear brakes are small. As long as you can find 5x112. Go to a tire shop have em take a rear wheel off and see what they can come up with for the strip. plenty of choices in drag radials in 16 17 and 18".
Plenty of oem takeoffs a rim shop will sell you for 75.00-150 a rim. The K1 is 269.00 plus the tires , remember you can use the drag radial at several events. If you are local I can come help you find something

Thanks Juicee! I live in NorCal and wish I would've planned better for this event.
I already have some MT's on the way 265 40 R18 and unless I could find a rim to mount them to I'll be driving up on them, or down should I say. What would the specific offset be and do you have any brand suggestions that I could purchase through Tire Rack? I wanted Kosei's because they are cheap and light but TR only offers a 18 x 8. I believe they discontinued the K1 series and now they are hard to find...sad! I definitely want to keep it cheap but worse case scenario I'll be driving to FAMOSOOOO on them.
BTW, thanks for the offer of helping me find a rim!

You could try the Kosei, or any of the light 18x8. do a thread search many of the guys have run the kosei on 265 tires. I will see what I can dig up but certainly the wide 18x9 and 18x9.5 211 stockers will work and in that case just mount em and drive on em, no worries at all.

The widest DR you can fit on stock rims are 295 in the rear. Shawn has BFGs and actually drives around on them. They yield very consistent launches when warmed up correctly...

I'll be purchasing these rims from E55 baller, hopefully if he still has them. My timeline to purchase new rims for my MB is next year and I'm considering buying some front 18x8 Kosei front rims and just using these as my DD. How do you guys think this will look on a Obsidian black MB, I hate the chromies I have now! YOUR OPINION MATTERS!

What do you guys think...replacing stock chromies with lighter Kosie's until I get my 19 or 20's? Be brutally honest, am I being ghetto or what? I just hate my chromies and I will not be replacing my rims until next year. Opinions please!

I just purchased E55 Baller's spare set of 18x9's and were not sure if the hardware was included in one of the 2 boxes. Since this is the case I tried to purchase centering rings and lug nuts from Tire Rack but the person I spoke to sounded confuse? Does anyone have any info in regards to this? Is the centering ring already installed on the tire and will stock lug nuts work with this application? I would hate to go through the effort of getting these rims here and not be able to use them...

I think you would do you and your car a huge favor running on the light rims, that will be scary.
As soon as the wheels arrive go to a local tire/wheel shop they usually have all that you need especially if its a shop that deals with Mercedes oem takeoffs.

Those wheels should bolt right on, I beleive offset is 35.

I have chromies to boot

I'm not a big fan of the stock chromies with black. As soon as I replenish my funds I'll be purchasing a nice set of 19" HRE comps. I have been contemplating on whether or not to get the front Kosei's and complete the set, just not sure how they'll look. If only my stockers weren't chrome

I mean, they will fit, but they will not be centered and will wobble like a mf'er at 80 mph.

If the 18x9 Kosei's were ordered from tire rack for the E55 they will have the correct centering rings already installed. The hardware package that comes in the box contains the (2) red valve stems and a plastic hub cover. The lug bolts are the same length of course, but the Kosei wheel takes a tapered head bolt, not the rounded style that the OEM uses. So, should have centering rings installed, will need tapered lug bolts which should be easy to get overnight from tire rack or local shop.

FYI Tire Rack sold out of the 18x9's a few months ago. Those of you who got the got one of the lightest wheels made for an 18" wheel, albeit it at an incredible price.
