Pic of my new clear corners on my black E63...
I thought I would share. I love the look 100x's better. I just could not stand that orange on this car. Sorry the picture quality sucks. The operator sucks at taking pics lol. Also, I threw in an Eagle picture I took the other morning.

Well after looking at them for a while I have decided I don't like the clear or the orange. Looks like I will be painting them. What do you guys use to paint them?? I'm guess ing a good quality spray paint in gloss black?

yeah bro, paint'em black...i painted mine..costed like 7$ and took only a few minutes and looks better than any/everything else. I just took like a cheap primer after sanding them down and sprayed like 2 coats of that on then took a glossier one and went over that for a few coats....
looks a billion times better than anything else out there...there are a few good threads about painting sidemarkers on here as well, just pull up a search real quick. They will even tell you/SHOW you the type of spray paint you need, where to find it, and price haha. have fun bro...car looks mean as hell

As someone who's done euro strips (orange marker deletes) on 4 black benz's - trust me, ditch the clear, and either get the euro strips (I don't know if that's possible on the 63) or get them paints. Looks much cleaner.

Cougar! Doh! That's right lol. Man I just can't pull the trigger on painting them black. The one thing I know is I absolutely hate the orange. I just can't decide if the clear makes the car look classy. I love the clear on the silvers and the white's. It just kind of sticks out like a soar thumb on black. It by far looks better than the orange but I don't think it is quit there yet. What do you guys do about the light leaking around the edges of the painted black???

haha honestly...i took out my sidemarker bulbs so no matter wht i get no excess glow. kinda sucks tht i get that damn error message every time i start the bad boy up though...but let me tell you it looks great. I do see your point about the black on your color, but i beieve it will look great mannnnn

Well, I was thinking about the error you are getting and maybe a simple resistor from radio shack would fool the system into thinking the bulb was there. I did this trick on my C6 for the skip shift and it worked like a charm. Cost me like $.50 too.

Good decision on the black painting ... as for the bulbs I took mine and zipped tied them behind the fender so no light ever leaked out.

I got them off Ebay for like $50. Just type in e63 clear corners on ebay and you will find them. Boy, spraying them is harder then I thought. My spray painting is like taking pictures lol.
