AMG Illuminated Door Sill went out

AMG Illuminated Door Sill went out
As I was cleaning my car this evening in the dark I realized that my rear AMG illuminated door sill was not working! I gave it the professional test of hitting it and nothing 
I have the after market version (not OEM). Anyone experience their door sills dying?
Any ideas/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I fear I have to buy a whole new set just to fix one.

Where did you get it from? I had a set on my E55 W210 and it went out too. I wanna get another set again for my W211. I bought my last one at www.myroadster.net or whatever that site is.

I think they are the same ones that formymercedes.com sells. I'm not sure if the light burnt out or maybe the transformer or fuse. Thing is that I didn't hook it up.

Does anyone know where to get the install instructions for this? The one that were posted in here is deleted. I bought mine from Formymercedes.com months and months ago but never took the time to install them.

happened to me once on my w203...
the wire inside was getting loose... turned out to be 5 minute fix...
if it's a sill, u can get a spare from FMM...
if it's a wire, then u can DIY or take it to local a/v shop...

Thanks everyone! I took things apart and checked all connections but nothing. Then I unplugged the EL heard a weird faint buzzing sound, re-plugged it and it worked!
