W212 E-Class Sedan Poll....
How do you feel about the W212 E-Class Sedan?
So it seems there's been a bit of mixed reviews over the W212.... some like it some hate it. To me, I don't mind the front so much (not that it's great, but I can eventually grow to like it), but what bothers me the most is the rear. To me, the rear looks very similar like the Hyundai Sonata, Lexus ES, and even a little like the Camry. Anyway, I figured to create a poll to get some actual numbers of who likes it overall and who doesn't.
Here are some pictures of the rear compared to other cars....
Hyundai Sonata

Toyota Camry

i would of liked it if they would of kept the round headlights and daytime lights, thats really what gives the e class the image. the new front, kind of looks like the lexus g sedan.. but im still waiting on the amg, hopefully a black series..

On another note, I have no clue improvements are being offered on the car. Jakpro1, you mentioned twin turbos? For the top of the line model? A V8 Twin Turbo I assume? Any word on the power output?
Maybe it's Sonata-ness can be overlooked for the right amount of power...

I love the look of my car, its damn near perfect. I could see rear defuser and a lower stance, thats it. I love my benz shooter, ppl and there flat emblems... I want the new gearbox and suspension from the SL though.

"Thanks to our contacts within the automotive design community, Car Design News can confirm that Joel Piaskowski, who resigned from his position as Chief Designer at Hyundai's North American design studios on December 19, 2008, will be taking over the position previously held by Gorden Wagener at Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design. He starts his new job on Monday, January 12.
Mercedes-Benz has made a few changes to its design team since taking over the Carlsbad facility from Chrysler last year, notably the retirement of Prof. Peter Pfeiffer and the appointment of Gorden Wagener to the position of Head of Design. Piaskowski has now been chosen to head Advanced Design at the new facility in Southern California. "
