Mod List
Hi Guys
I picked up my E63 recently and am looking for mod ideas. I came from a BMW M3 so I'm not as familiar with aftermarket MB parts (yet). I see lots of you on here have some pretty sick looking cars, so I was hoping you guys could list your current mods and provide some pics as well.

Thanks, I Like Soup! (That sounds kinda funny.)
The E60 M5 eventually grew on me and I can appreciate the performance of the car, but the E63 had me from "hello".
Are E55 aftermarket parts compatible with the E63?

Congrats on the new ride LADY_AMG! I also came from an M3 . Engine related parts are different. The mufflers are compatible though.

I'm in the Newport/Irvine area as well. Maybe I'll spot you someday.

2003 E55 AMG
Most of the aftermarket parts aren't compatible between the 63 and the 55. The main differences are the drivetrain (limits on amount of torque) and the forced induction (obviously, the 55 guys have a lot of room to play with boost in the supercharger, etc.) , without getting in too deep. More is becoming available for the 63s though, so don't fret!

Yes, my screen name is a bit random, but there is a story behind it!

Selection is definitely limited on the E63 right now, however I'm leaning more towards Renntech parts, possibly Carlsson. I would love to see what else is available or will be available.

Mercedes,Porsche etc
yes the renntech mufflers will work, but be warned they are really really loud and can drone sometimes if you dont have a resonator,,
I know 3 people that got them, and then got rid of them, 1 on this very forum because they were too loud..
the reaons they are loud is they are very small which smaller mufflers are louder, and they are fairly empty of sound deadening mats
if you dont mind loud, thats fine,, but I chose the REMUS, mufflers,,
they are louder than the stock AMG, mufflers about 20 %, but not quite as loud as the RENNTECH which are about 40% louder..
REMUS owns SEBRING which makes AMG mufflers, and brabus, and Kleeman, and Porsche as well so they are a good company.. and I love mine..
Eisenmann are good too and not as loud as the RENNTECH either..
start with a simple CAT BACK exhaust with good mufflers
use 304 stainless steel 3" piping all the way to the cats, and get an X-pipe and put it 1/2 way..between the 2
that will make the car sound really good...
once you do that, see how you like the sound,, if you like it, then you can go for HEADERS, like the KLEEMAN or VRP, and lastly replace the Cats with high flow 200 cel racing cats.
not only will that all sound better but with all that and an ECU tune, you should be able to get 75 hp or so which doesnt suk
grats on the car btw
