M5 Twin Turbo Coming Soon
http://www.worldcarfans.com/9070910....ototypes-spied
I have heard several rumors about this and it is actually true... I know it has been a project in the making forever but I hear they are close to finishing it. I can't wait to see how this comes out and competes against the E63's and E55's. I am guessing the tuned E55's will be able to keep up doubt the 63's will with the lack of tuning options. What you guys think?

This thing is guna be BRUTAL...
MB is going to have to find a way to shoehorn the V12tt into the e-class, if they want to compete. Otherwise, as it sits, they just got left waaaaaaaaaay behind by BMW.
There is no comparison whatsoever between a turbo'd V10 M5 and the N/A 63 motor.

I rather have the upcoming 550 with 4.4 TTV8 and sportspackage.
Juice Box, FMIC and Oil cooler.
Get the BT Scan tool to erase codes and call it a day.
Save the extra $35k.
MB is really going to be the underdog now.
Cts-V, RS6 and now M5/6

Twin-turbo M5 - will they fix the way it looks, too?
It was the ugggggggggggly E60 M5 that made me leave 18 years of driving M cars and move into the Mercedes camp. Its appearance never grew on me either; it's just a very fugly car and remains so today.

My buddy writes for winding road and gets sick cars all the time to test and beat up. He picked me up in the new CTS-V with the auto tranny (they don't want the manual clutches to get **** on so they give out the auto to mags etc.) I will tell you this. I have been in my buddies Stage II E55 and this was a stock cts-v and the new cts-v felt faster and handled better. I was hard to believe it at 1st but when he punched it i was like holy ****.
This TT M5 is going to rock if its anything like the stock cts-v. On a side note, someone did headers, tune, on the new LS in the cts-v and made 600 whp. WITHOUT PULLEY SWAP. They are working on new cooling and pulleys as we speak. Gonna be crazy. AMG needs to TT the 63 motors in order to compete in the next few years.

BMW 540i
I almost bought an E55 a few weeks ago and still have it on my radar. But the new 5 series is my top choice now. TT V-8 with AWD and 6 speed stick is my preferred configuration. Maybe not quite as fast as an E55/63, but should be close, and will handle better. Plus I won't have to drive my wife's Land Rover to work when it snows!
