BMW 7 series
I too want 500+hp car,
i have been driving my BMW 745i for a couple of years now and i am really tired not having a really fast car, not too long ago we had to choose between speed and luxury, and the cars that had both were out of my reach... but right now the prices have fallen a great deal so i can now get an e55, so i would love for you guys to tell me:
1. what years i should avoid?
2. anything i should look for in any e55? (options? accesories?)
3. what are the problems areas in the car? (engine, trasmission, air supension?)
4. what kind of power adders can i get for the car? and how much power will they add? what companies (chips, supercharger pulley, exhaust?)
here are a couple of pics of my car

thank you guys in advance

From 7, I would think you would wanna be checking out the S600's no?
500hp out the box.....chip flash and you have got a flame throwin monster.
Gotta get CPO though, or at least one with some warranty left.

2004 E55 AMG
Had two 7 series before the E55. I found the BMWs to have smoother motor and ride, and better seats. BUT, push the throttle on the E55 and woohoo! If the MB didn't have so much crazy power, I'd still have a BMW.Even the M5 doesn't feel so Beasty.

liquiddi loves his E63 so much that he is in denial that a 55k could beat it
funny thing is have not seen any E63 dyno higher then a 55k and well the torq in the 55 is much higher to begin with![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
and if we were to mention the 1/4 mile well![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Still a vey nice car though and they are close stock for stock

Trez's CLS63 dynoed 440 whp on evosport's dynojet. It actually dynoed 428 whp stock and 440 without charcoal filters. Also AMGreateful dynoed 436 whp and 400 wtq on dyno dynamics dyno. Most of the 55s and 63s dynos posted by Vadim came right in between 400 to 420 whp.
What's more important is.... Juicee's 63 (at the time only had VR530) was taking down stage 1 CLS55s at Fontana like it was...... naaaah... I won't even finish that

Very easy: Pulley + ECU + headers + throttle body + cooling mod (usually secondary heat exchanger)
Oh, and then later when you get tired of that level of power (and believe me, you will), you can always add the bigger carbon fiber intake boxes + carbon fiber tubes + long-tube headers + cams + more ECU tuning + ice resevior. Then when you get tired of that level of power, the fun really begins

Common man..... just because he's new, you can't try to trick him like that ![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)

juiceeees orca beat the other car only bcz his car is black, well known and documented to give magical HP!
thats it
oh and maybe the fact the otehr cls did not havea tune and assumed all that extra boost was goignt to work X)
on a more serious note, teh E63 styling is the bomb it looks way better then the E55 from the front....but u can retro fit the parts and looking at how cheap the 55 is now its hard not to go for it

I would also have to say you should look into the S600's. They're pretty close in price. Can't be any worse off then the 7. I don't mind Bimmers, but I'm sure glad I stayed away from the 7's. They look great though
