Some fun WOT @ 75mph to 120mph...priceless...
Driving home from Star Trek (btw...I liked it a lot), and doing my drive home on I75 with the usual cruise control on @ 75mph. I'm in the passing left lane and casually passing some traffic but now I'm getting jammed from behind with the guy/gal blinking their lights...so I oblige and blip the throttle and head to the far right lane.
IDK...I guess I was feeling frisky or I felt like clearing out the "pipes" on the Beast (its been awhile)...so I catch up to the car that passed me and we are side by side...it's a Cayman Porsche and now we are both doing about 85mph and then I gun it and in short order I'm looking @ 120mph.
It didn't make any real sense but it felt good just to press the throttle to the floor and to hear the engine scream. The car felt strong and power was oozing effortlessly. I get back to my senses and I'm back to 80mph...
About 5 minutes later, I'm looking at my rear view mirror and the Cayman is now on my ****...the only problem is I'm in the far right lane and he has 2 open lanes to pass me. So I'm thinking F it...WOT again...he is now a distant pair of headlights. I figured the Cayman driver needed to get educated on the power heirarchy on the road...Or I just felt like being a bit of a *****...probably a little of both.
I love this car...thank you VRP...the VR700 has some strong mojo.
PS For our po po forum members, this was just an exercise in fictional prose.

A respectful biatch slap on the road is always refreshing...I've been on the other end so I can relate.

I don't even consider this a kill story...moreso a testament to the endorphin rush we can get from our 55's or 65's. A true "kill" story would have to be with another car that has some real chops...corvette, BMW, SRT, etc...
I do have to make a caveat, though. You can't necessarily judge a book by it's cover, since you can truly make anything fast or faster. Back in the day when my Beast was stock, a Mazda Rx7 blew by me and I was hard pressed to catch and pass him...I eventually did but it was still impressive. Granted, looking at his car it looked like all he had in his interior was a roll cage, steering wheel, and seat, while I had the stereo, AC, and seat massager on...

Nice story....lay that smack down......
But I will have to call you out....Your story had some BS in it!!
You liked StarTrek???????
What is wrong with you??
Romulus's Star goes supernova....SUPERNOVA!!!! And the bad guy blames Spock for not stopping it...a SUPERNOVA. And you like that storyline??
That and the fact they confused a black hole and wormhole.
Also...please tell me where one picks up a nice round ball of "RED MATTER"??
Terrible........

Dude I have been looking for a worthy opponent the last few weeks in the GT-R and/or the 997TT... and all I got was a Cayman too the other day?????
I like the Cayman... a little.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I did have a friendly skirmish with my buddies 997C2S but once the flames shot out of the GT-R's 4 pack, it was all done ...

Side question (but related),
For those of you who uses the BEAST as a daily driver, how often do you go WOT? With or without the competition on the same road, it's just plain hard for me to resist the fun.
