Post up a video of your exhaust already!! I wanna hear it drive by, inside, ouside, and on the side! :P
I'm thinking about getting it done this weekend, but I want to be sure so I don't drive 200 miles for nothing
And as for the value of this thread, I'm sure once Max gets off his *** and posts up the videos, you'll all want to do it too
And for those of have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm talking about gutting the stock OEM mufflers a la EVOsport to make them sound sexy for cheap.

It sounds better then stock that's all I can say. Its not even as loud as I wanted to be honest. I might delete primary cats next for more power and rumble.
Charles, does your race exhaust drone? My buddy's did really bad to the point it gave you a headache. I think your exhaust looks the best on E55's.

Godfather, if you want rumble and extremely deep exhaust, go with my aftermarket setup. I can get the exhaust fabbed up and ready to bolt right on if you want. I will try and get a video clip for you, but to give you an idea, I started my e55 in my garage, and my wife which was on the other side of the house came flying into the garage and said, "shut that damn thing off, you just woke up the baby." I can set off alarms in under ground parking lots if I blip the throttle at will. All I did was my aftermarket axel back exhaust and 3" straight pipes instead of the resonator. I have both cats in place. I am getting the Kleeman Longtubes this weekend so the sound will be more aggressive.

Ok so I did it! We left the inner tubing alone and just removed the fiberglass packing or whatever the hell was inside. The result? A noticeably loud exhaust, but to my surprise, still very quiet. But when I had my buddy drive the car and I stood outside to listen, it was a nice proper exhaust note! I also noticed my s/c whine was louder, but I dont know if it's because I removed the hood vent things or not since I hadn't heard the car from outside until now and since I removed it.
Anyway, do it peeps! It's a cheap mod and sounds great!

The interesting thing is that when the car is in park, it's loud! In drive, not so much. In park, it idle very low. It's weird. Almost sounds like bass. It's kinda cool actually. I'll just get pics. But when accelerating, it's where it sounds good. Either way, for the money, no on can compain whatsoever and it's a simple mod I recommend.
It was $200, but I paid a little less b/c I've been going to that shop for years.
I'll get videos next week. My camera is in Hawaii right now.
