Last chance to stop me before I buy GTR
.Though the V won't handle as good as the GTR, it should still handle better than most things out there, and will offer brutal acceleration as well as good aftermarket support just like the GTR.
The Z06 will be faster than the GTR initially, handling is on the same level, and aftermarket support would be good for both cars; though the Z06 is not as easy to drive at/near the limit as I imagine the GTR would be.
Really though, get whatever is going to make you happy, because that's all that's really important
When are you going to come out on one of these Thursdays so we can check out that CTS-V?

For a second or third car, if you love it then why not? The comparable options are Z06 (very good discounts), used 997TT, Viper, and maybe a used CLK BS. I know that the 997TT is still up there in price, but I believe some of the '07's are going for under $90k now and I believe the same can be said about the CLK BS. The GT-R does look like a great car for the money. I just prefer the Porsche due to the level of sophistication it carries, it's proven engine and drivetrain, and looks. The Z06 is a real sports car with a 6 speed manual and unlimited power throughout the rev-range. The Viper is as raw as they come. If the GT-R is your cup of tea, then by all means do it!

Some people will never get over the fact that Nissan produced a incredible automobile that competes with premium sport cars. Those people would include my brother-in-law who got spanked in his 997TT.

Read the press, drive the car (if you can) and make your own decision.
I'm going to have to make some refinements to the interior. Alacantra on the dash and door frames (where the window is), some carbon fiber over the main A/C panel area, and some LED lights to replace the yellow stock interiors.
So now just waiting for the check to arrive at Nissan and for it to show up online so I can go claim the car.
I'm going to enjoy it stock engine wise for a little bit and then going to power mod the hell out of it.

I have to say its a quite a leap coming from a SL63 though....

That said, if you are happy... I am happy. Enjoy Fantasm!

Best of luck with your GTR. From the very nice list of previous cars you have owned I can see that you have very good taste! IMHO you cannot go wrong with the GTR, for the money you are driving an amazing car.

Drive the car in RRR and auto mode from a dig; the SL63 is slower without a doubt.
Spend 995 on the Cobb A/P to get the car stronger up top... then enjoy for a while.
