Escort 9500ci install
On the Escort website they have an install card that you get when purchasing the 9500ci w/install. Anyone know about this CARD?
The website for the card won't give you who they use in your area to do the install. I'm on the porch about what to do as far as laser jamming and radar detecting. I have an Escort 8500 that hasn't failed me yet. Here is a link to the setup.

Reason I'm asking this is many professional installs run close to 1K. When you consider the $400 for install over the price of the unit, it makes it a steal. I've read further on the Install card website that foreign makes including Mercedes could be more. Just fishing to see if anyone used this CARD. I want to keep things clean and don't mind spending a little extra for a good install. I keep leaning towards the Laser Intercepter as the way to go for Laser and Escort 9500ix for radar defence. It won't give the hidden capabilty of the ci but it provides great protection. The 4 head Laser Intercepter is around $1200 uninstalled but is supposed to be the best. Don't know too much about Valentine but after reading a little about each and owning an 8500, Escort seems to be the way to go.

Bro some of these yahoos charge more then that. I went to a spot on Wilshire in Santa Monica and the guys tried to charge me $2400 to do a install. I swear I felt dis-respected when he told me. Its a shame what this crap economy will do to the after market tuners.

I have an escort 9500ci in both of my AMGs. Let me tell you, driving without protection is not something I like doing anymore
I look at it this way, if the unit saves me from even a minor 100-150 dollar ticket 5+ times over a period of a couple years, it has paid for itself!

Somewhere on the site there is a link to installers broken down by state. I had a hard time finding it myself.
Ultimately, one of the Escort installers referred me to someone else who did the install in my garage for $2000. Took him about two hours start to finish.

Not sure where you live but i am a NY driver and mainly stay out of state - reciprocity is a thing for suckers!! NY DMV doesn't care about tix from out of state-- it is blatantly state on their website too.

I currently have caliber 40 that came with the car. No laser and just a front sensor. At first I was exited to have a 1400 system already in the car, but after reding reviews and seeing how it operates I got very disappointed. I could turn it off but it bothers me to have a system in the car that is not being used, pluss a decent radar detector is something I would not mind having. I'm thinking of replacing it with escort Qi45

FWIW my passport SRX radar detector and laser shifter came to $1700.00 back in 2005.
I think $2k for built in radar detection and laser jamming is a good deal here in 2012.

same here
I paid $1500 for SRX back in 2005. Since then have changed cars a few time and did the install myself. Very similar to BluBuda's for the front and rear shifters as well as the radar sensor. I opened the fuse box under the hood and ran wires through the rubber grommet then taped it up. Looks factory and will never leak. pics available if anybody needs....
