James this sounds awesome. The ACGSD kit appears to be a very complete package for the price. What are the dimensions of the Heat exchanger?

Had this kit installed about two months ago and she is running a lot better and more consistent at the track. The day after the install I ran at Fontana with Team AMG in 105 degree weather and all my runs were within .2 seconds of each other. Great install James!

Mikesamg, OT - your sig's funny... but what's an "RS8"?

The aforementioned cooling package does sound quite comprehensive... $800 for a heat-exchanger sounds pricey to me, but JMHO, and I'd suppose it's a very high quality unit.

It's an Audi, I kept the menu to strictly German cars.

Also just fyi James always quoted me for parts and install in one price, maybe why the HE is slightly higher?

Figured it was an Audi (naturally), but wasn't aware that they'd made an RS version of the S8 (or R8)... I'll have to check it out.

You're probably right for the other price too, that'd make more sense - thanks.

Yea I should have put the R8 since it's not as fast as people would like and it's a car out there already. Audi has an RS8 coming out which is a v10 that has the Gallardo engine in it so it will be 500-550 hp, depending on what they detune it too. So when I put Audi in one slot I figured why not put their top one that's coming out to sum up Audi

Ah - yes, the R8 5.2 is indeed a nice ride... sure they'd be a fun run for a 55'er.

isnt the 160 a bit too cold? i thought i remember issues with a 160 tstat a while back and people getting codes from their car always being in cold engine mode or something

I've wondered that since the first time I saw the 63s get heat soaked at Fontana. Then came along MHP and the claims that the heat soak isn't an issue on the 63s, so nobody has bothered.

There is a bit of controversy as to what help the 160Tstat gives with an upgraded cooling setup. I have always been a bit concerned with trying to run the motor cooler instead of the intake and what that might do to the car.
