COOL! AMG Logo On Command At Startup

. Anyhoo, kept reading and found out that the MB Star on Command startup could be changed to the AMG logo with a "secret" Command menu. Long story short, I got it on the first try! Yaayyy Me!
I also figured out, quite by accident, how to get the Navi direction pointer on the gauge pod display. Only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to change the American Navi voice to the European Navi voice. I think it has something to do with a "secret" sub-menu inside of the "secret" menu
. If/ when I get it figured out, if anyone's interested, let me know. Pretty simple to do, just got to get the sequence right.
And you must have the Euro COMAND to get DVD playback.
.I gotta say, after trading in my fully loaded '08 W204, the W211 Command is a joke. I have no bluetooth, no DVD playback, no iPod interface, no PCMIA/ SD card slot and the DVD vs. hard drive based Navi SUCKS ($250-$300 for an update disk vs. a free firmware upgrade under warranty)!
But hey, I'm not regretting my decision in the least. The W204 cannot hold a candle to the W211 AMG (very few automobiles can). After all, I picked up bad *** sexiness, much more front and back leg room, seat memory, dynamic seating w/ *** massage and most importantly......... BEAST MODE!!!!!

Car Tunes in Atlanta has done quite a few W211 complete A/V overhauls. When I was there last month, I got to see some install pics...Sick!
I bought a home there in May so we'll be moving in the not too distant future. I'll get the swap done some time after we're moved in, settled and have replenished the bank accounts (Lord willing).

. I think I'll either leave well enough alone or switch back to the MB Star at some point in the future for resale value after I change out my A/V system.

However, the item description reads "for cars with phone". I have the steering wheel phone buttons, it appears that the mic is there and I believe I have a phone speaker behind the grill in the passenger side foot well. What I don't have is the little phone slot adapter "thingy" in the arm rest compartment. My Command says "No Phone Installed". Will this NTG2.5 still work for me? The description also says that after installation of this adapter, that my CD changer door will no longer open, so it's best to remove and sell it prior to install and that if you have H/K Logic 7, you have to change out the amplifier. Anyone else installed this thing? I'll do a search but....Damn!

Part number for the 211 E sedan is 6782 42 38 and is only $145 - not a bad deal since they used to be $785 installed at the dealer.
