2nd Annual West Coast Shootout
Ok have to invite you guys too.
Ok guys we can start an interest list with two possible dates.
December 12th or 19th 2009. The 19th has the better chance of lower DA.
Either day we can have our own bracket race. If we start around 10am we should get 3 time runs and then our bracket race. The difference this year is I was able to get the night session included for the same price. Thats when the DA will be at it's best and the track will be nice and sticky from the day session. So plan on a long day and night.
It's $20 per car and driver, and $10 per spectator, 12 and under free. We can organize something for food and trophies.
Let me know your thoughts.

I should know which date in a couple of days. I want to make sure we get as much track time as possible. The day session is for fun, the night session is for bragging rights.

We had quite a few cars from Cali last year. Even one from SD. This event was lightly modded friendly. With bracket racing it doesn't matter how fast the car in the other lane is. First time racing for alot of the guys. They had a blast. It's worth the drive. It's only 3 hours away in a modded MB![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

If I live closer I would definitely love to get in. I would think bracket racing would be so much more fun than TNT's day. I'm actually getting bored of going to the track and just running to run. I'm done chasing 10's and when the time comes it will just happen...LOL.
I'll talk to the wife and see if she would like to visit her family in Torrance for a few days and from there maybe I'll roll with some of the Southern boys.

Very tempting. An early Christmas present to yourself.
It's a blast bracket racing, also would love to get a side by side of you and chiromikey on video. Here's a video of me racing last weekend. I lost in the semi finals by running under my 12.31 dial by .0003 Three Ten Thousandths of a second.
Cruzinquick vs 68 Torino Enjoy.

Will the 11.5 and under rule still reinforced during a private rental at speedworld? Not that I could go 11.5 in AZ but just in case it would be comforting to know that I could still race if I did, especially after a long drive to get there.
I saw that thread where you posted your lost by .0003, are the clocks even that accurate? You are one bad a$$ driver and it's amazing how consistent you are with your car

I would love to line up with Mike but I think he gets me in a 1/4 mile but we'll see. Up to now I've been mainly concentrating on launch technique without worrying about the tree too much. This will definitely cost me in a heads up race but over time I'll get better and improve my RT's....I better if I plan on bracket racing LOL.

. Get your butt over to Sacramento and break some new records!!! BTW...have you ran at Sac before?

Yep the clocks are that accurate. They should have rounded up on that pass. LOL. Speedworld has one of the most accurate timing systems around. It was upgraded at our last event and the lights went nuts. It only had pro lights. Thanks for the compliments. I thoroughly enjoy this car.
No the 11.5 rule will not be enforced for our group. Helmets will be required for anyone running under 14 seconds though.
I have never been to Sac but hope to be there for sure next October. The Summit Series Division 7 ET finals are being held there in 2010. If I do well during this next season I hope to be there racing. I really would love to go on Nov 1st for a big bracket race going on. I run in the Sportsman class.
My car is consistent because I have lots of data from over 300 passes in different DA. Still guessing but sure helps. Everyone now and then I cut a good light too.
