Options installed- after the fact.
Curious what OEM factory options members here have installed on their car after delivery. What was involved, prices, how did it work out??
Some options: folding mirrors, rear sunshade, keyless go, tire pressure sensors, parking assist, rear trunk motor, xenon lights, etc.....

I added Sirius to mine for about $1200.00. Not sure it was worth it, but I do like it on long trips. The trunk antenna is not as nice as the top mount though for reception.

fwiw, the factory option (forgot the code) for sills on the E63 were the regular Mercedes Benz blue illuminated sills. The OEM AMG illuminated sills are an OEM part that you can get from the dealer. But they are close to 1k (come in a set of four.) For $350 they are either used or not OEM. Jangy has a set for sale for $500.
My E63 came from the factory with the illuminated sills option (and they say MB on them; I took them out and put in regular AMG non-illuminated sills.)
p.s., there you go, Jangy's post above mentions the OEM AMG illuminated at $1k.......

The factory lit sills are just a different quality and electronics than the slap on kind. It splices into the factory fiber optics setup and has them operate as a door sill should. In tune with all of the other lights on the car, especially the ambiance ones.
Next thing, the quality of the plate and blue lighting is MAGNIFICANT vs kind of cheesy up close.
AMG sills are only on Euro spec cars. Many dealers have found teh part numbers and do order them for their clients but they aren't in the us EPC.

MB Canada had a massive sale on a ton of accesories, wheels, etc. I posted a few things on here to tell everyone, but nobody seemed too interested. I got the door sills for $350, an extra CD Changer for $100, an extra AMG rim for my E55 for $200, and a full set of 20" AMG wheels for my dad's S550 for $1200. Even license plate frames were only $10.

I would guess that labour would be in the 4 hour range at an MB dealer. It actually took our master tech about 2.5 hours of real time.

I added Euro COMAND, navigation, bluetooth, and HID headlights.
Will be installing dynamic/pulse seats as soon as they arrive, the spare seats will become an office chair and a gran turismo chair.
