Modded DCT M3 vs. Stock E55 and Stock CTS-V- Vids
My car is bone stock and ran 106mph in the 1/4 with the failing pump and then ran 113mph with a new one installed.
That E55 in the first vid's should be running anywhere from 113-116mph stock in the 1/4 with a healthy pump.

Also who wrote the book on the stage process? Isnt ECU/pulley 1, headers 2, throttle body 3, cooling 4 (or cooling 3, TB 4), Cams 5?? Im just asking since this whole stage thing ever has been truly broken down.

Finally drop my shorts? Yer askin me if I have it? You know better than most of the guys here that I have it. Yer one of the few guys here that have seen my car since day 1. You make it sound like I'm trying to hide something. I never tried to hide the fact that I have it...I don't care to put meth as one of my mods. Almost everyone knows about it. Well everyone that knows me, knows about it. When people ask me what I have, I tell them it's there. Plus, I only use that stuff at the track anyways.
Yer right...the book on stages is different per tuner but I'm just going with what I know. Regardless, I don't think any tuner will have me at a stage 5 with my mods?

We need to run soon. I wanna compare...bring the TT or the GTR. I want to play with both of them
A slow car like mine needs it to play in the league of Mikey and Alan and a few others!

Well if you can get down to the Mexico flats at 6am then we will be good to go.....
Meth blah blah blah???? How much did you gain from that injection on those dyno sheets? I would say its quite an important mod.
Sorry if you felt like I was calling you out- not my intention but I saw your post about stage 3 and your car is better than that

Vic, is your GTR stock? Also, did you ever consider putting a Turbo on the ISF?

Turbo on the IS-F, its not my car to drive on a daily basis so no. The better half parades it to her work and back. She already is in trouble speeding in that car so it will remain stock
^^^ Specially with launch control! felt sorry for the tyres after a 20 min thrashing! Had to have a go in one with the DCT box after all the hype!! Gearbox is very good, Its like DSG on VW.. Ferrari on the California and Scuderia/16M.
I still this the standard car lacks real grunt.. those mods must really wake it up!

Anyways back on topic. This thread is about drew's M3 and the videos. Full exhaust work, intake, deleting the cats, ram air scoops, intake, pulley's and custom tune seems to be as much as you can do to that car currently without going into the motor and doing something more radical. Maybe drew can chime in since he is the expert.
BTW Drew, is your car on tuned on race gas or pump gas?

I think a muffler might help a bit with some power and WR, but not much. I may do that, some WR and see how it does. I trapped 118 on the Vbox at 500', full weight, so it might have a 120 trap in perfect conditions with some WR, but not sure.
I'd like to run you or another E55 just to see Bro, cause we seem to be trapping the in the same range, but who knows, side by side runs say more IMHO.
That video is still confusing to me but I digress...talk is cheap, lets get a highly modded E55 in on our runs so we can put this argument to rest. We have plenty of M guys who want to run, where is team AMG
Calm down! Mikey is just trying to clarify his statement. If you don't believe him, I suggest you trek out to Arizona and get ready for a whipping cause Mikey has the car to spank you.
Just chill out man!

for all I know that M5 was in P400. I'm not making an excuse for it but honestly in my experience I haven't seen an E55 run so strong up top vs the M5 or M6.I don't like supposition so I'll speak for my experience: my bone stock M6 running a Stage 5 E55 and keeping neck to neck till 130 (and it was evident that I would have started pulling if it had continued further). That shouldn't have happened but gearing, the high revving platform and aero saved me. The M5 isn't that much slower than the M6 so yeah that video you posted makes no sense to me.
Sorry if I sound harsh, I don't mean it that way.
Me personally, I've never ran a M5 or M6 in the 1/4 mile or in Mexico. I've been trying to find one here in Norcal but it seems close to impossible. The only reference I have is my buddies 996 TT with a tune and straight pipes, he said he beat a modded M6 by a few lengths. When I raced the 996TT from 60-170 I had him by more then a few car lengths...I would guess. He's putting down somewhere in the range of 450 rwhp to the ground. It's funny, we both thought I would get him up to 120 or so with him taking over at higher speeds. This wasn't the case, my car kept on pulling at the higher speeds. Either way I'm supposed to line up with a GT-2 and a promo 700 and we'll see how I do. I'm probably going to get my *** cleaned by the promo but it's all in good fun

The next time I'm in LA, in time permits, we'll definitely hookup and see how we compare. I you took Sun on I'm sure it will be a good race...we shall see.
