Famoso SL55 Record Run 10.89 @ 127.51 (Dyno Sheet, Time Slips, Pics, Etc.)
Record run done at the Famoso event. I had two 11.0x runs early on in the event, but finished with four 10 sec passes. It has been a looooong journey with it's the ups and many downs but in the end it all worked out.
Huge Props for Serge@Hyevon for being very accommodating and working around the clock to get my car done on time for this event like he said he would. Having dealt with many installers/tuners for this car and my other cars in the past, I now know Serge is a rare asset in this industry. I would also like to thank Serge for helping me build my custom air intake when others said it was impossible which we will put the finishing touches on after the racing season.
Another HUGE prop to Jeremy/Travis@POWERCHIP! Jeremy is definitely the man you want to see for custom dyno tunes. Travis/Jeremy were also very accommodating in meeting my last minute request for a custom dyno tune (literally......the day before the event LOL)
I will post more photos & videos when time allows but this is what I have available for now.
This photo provided by Alex (Murtaza), thanks bro
Wrinkle Wall Anyone?
The Slips
Record Run
Powerchip Custom Dyno Tune (100 Octane)
Special thanks to:
Serge/John @ Hyevon Motors
Jeremy/Travis @ Powerchip
Ed @ HMS
Devon @ C&R Racing
Guy @ HRE Wheels

Awesome numbers Sal and I could see why your car is so damn strong. Damn, that fricken wrinkle in your tires during your launch is absolutely sick!!!! I definitely have my work cut out for me when you visit Sacramento....especially with launches like that . I look forward to our meeting and I'm sure it will be a great race.
You got me thinking about that 100 octane tune now...I'm getting a little worried . I'll see ya in a couple to few weeks to battle it out with ya. Once again outstanding performance and times well deserved .

Most recent dyno numbers: 447rwhp and 470 rwtq on a mustang dyno...dyno numbers mean absolutely squat!!!
I don't know , Sal's run shows that a time slip can back up his dyno numbers!!!

SAL,
WOW
Your car looks like an SL65 Black and it ran like one as well.
I would like to thank you for participating and showing us all what is "possible" in a luxury cruiser.
Outstanding work by all involved, this car looks and performs a very difficult combo.
AN AMAZING ACHIEVEMENT BRO

Sal, you've done it again my friend..... a million congrats for breaking the record and setting the bar so high
Just three weeks ago, I remember talking to you and you mentioning the possibility of not being able to make it to Famoso I said no way.... we will get this done and because of your hard work and dedication, it happened
What makes this even more of an accomplishment is the fact that traction was not "optimal" due to the rain the morning of.... however, you hooked like crazy Your 60' time is just You kept adapting and ajusting your launch, burnout, etc.... until you did it. Again Excellent work
Just remember..... this is only the beginning

Keith,
I can't wait to see how your car will do against Sal's. Should be interesting once Vadim is done with it! He started your car for me to listen to and it sounds really smooth. Not as lumpy as I thought. Sal may just have the fastest non-nos MB as of now although both Alan and Sal did not post their times officially on dragtimes yet.

Congrats! Looking through your slips, I can tell you definitely know what you're doing out there. You and Alan should post your slips on dragtimes so the rest of us can brag about it =D.

The feeling of gettting into the 10's is such a relief......damn. About those 60 footers (1.5x's) feel just awesome and give such an adreline rush. I just couldnt believe the amount of torque I was feeling off the line, I was worried something was going to break of the line.
My drag wheels are 16" from the CLK 97-01 (I think) and I believe these are the lightest wheels that Mercedes every made. They are forged aluminum and weight .........................13.8lbs I purchased a set of four w/curb rash for $350.00 on craigslist LOL.
The tires are Hoosier's and they HOOK! They are the Drag Radials 255/50/16
