We had a mini-track rental today at MIR. Id like to congratulate my good friend and business partner for a job well done. There are few people who are as dedicated to taking their Benz to the utter extreme as Ahmad/Blackbenzz. There are very few selfless, honest people like him who are always ready to lend help with knowledge or with a wrench (in my case a lug wrench ) He deserves all the grandeur/ego boost/bragging rights that go along with the title of the "Quickest Non-NOS Benz in the USA" I wll let him post his time slip as hes in the car fighting our wonderful Beltway traffic, as well someone got it on video.

Well I ran a 10.67 with a 1.52 60' but it wasn't on video and I knew some people would want to see it to believe it so one of my friends used his HD camcorder to record my next pass... 10.66 with a 1.51 60'.

There will be a repeat performance for you this sunday This time I'm going to try to bring a trailer and unleash the beast lol I'm going to try to launch off the stall. Either you will see a 1.4x 60' and quite possibly the quickest pass to date in a benz or you will see something break haha

Thanks. It was just me and Jason out there reppin for the benzes today in a sea of vettes. I think there were 5 ZR1s there today (including the #1 and #2 stock record holders) and only one was quicker. Happened to be a Lingenfelter ZR1 that ran 9.8

I ran 10.676 at 12:15 and 10.666 at 1:24. DA was -1289 at 12:23 and -1243 at 1:27 according to dragtimes.com. Track was sprayed with VHT to the 60'. There was only 6 cars in our lane and maybe 12ish cars in the other lane. My best run corrects to:

10.714 @ 125.472 MPH

I did a shakedown pass with no cool down and ran 10.81, then with cool down it went 10.67, and then my back up pass was 10.66 and I called it a day. The car has more in it, it's just a questin of whether it will break axles or not.

Gonna try this sunday but there's a reason it has been the #1 spot for so long. Stephen set the bar real high! I need a perfect pass to beat that. Here is the break down of my best pass

One thing I forgot to do was reset the ECU when I got to the track after sitting in traffic for over 2hrs My car got quicker and faster with every pass.

Definately deserved it! One of the nicest guys and coolest cars we have had in the shop to date!

 

I wonder why you're only gaining 23.6 in the back half. If you can get more mph there, you'll definitely set a record that's near untouchable. That 60' is amazing!
