Stock wheel weight vs my 19" Maya's

If someone has the weight of the stock rear wheel with the conti's please chime in as I do not have the tires on the rear rims. I know that the stock rear wheel came in at 26.5 lbs.

Here are the numbers for my stock 18" wheel & tire
50.2 lbs

Here are the numbers for my 19" Maya & tire front
53.6 lbs

and the rear

56.2 lbs

I wonder how much hp am I losing with those wheels

Let's do what we talked about and see how quick we could really get your stock E55.

Interesting..... when I weighted stock E55 rear wheels (off of a 2004 model) at a big wheel place, they came in at almost 29 lbs

I personally think you'd still go faster with 18" wheels even if they are the same weight.

If it doesn't then lets do it one more time I have to try out my new launch method. I called it last time when I said "this just in I will go 11.7x and I did and now if I can get this technique down I going to go 11.6x or better

i think the rule of thumb is for every 10 pounds of rotating mass you drop its like shedding 100 pounds of weight . so for every 100 lbs u drop its like picking up around 10 hp

where did you run? sub 12 sec. in the 1/4 mi is quite impressive... especially for a stock e55... does that include stock tires or drag radials... either way, for you!!

a quarter mile at a time
even at the same weight, a 19" wheel and tire will cause more parasitic loss because the weight is pushed farther out, causing greater moment of intertia

I run up at Sacramento Raceway on drag radials. Since that post in which my car went 11.79 the day after Christmas it went 11.768 and since then it has gone 11.761,11.72 and 11.701. I'm not sure when but sometime this year it will run 11.6x or better
