CO2 + NOS
Hey guys, just curious of what the benefits of running a shot of CO2 into the heat exchanger and a small shot of nitrous in the motor, it just sounds like very cheap and not very dangerous HP to me. I know how a lot of you guys feel about nitrous, but used right it is a very good modification, I am just wondering how it would work with the CO2 and cooling the hell out of the air intake temps....just an idea and discussion...
thanks guys, Chad

50 shots of nos in the intake with make wonder to the ait. As cool as the co2 it will do very little to cool the ait compare to nos. Instead of running two system just run two tanks of nos. ; )

no point of spraying anything on the heat exchanger. even if you keep the water temp low, the intercooler itself is still not efficent enough to take advantage of the setup.

anyone have a DIY for a wet or dry system? I'm not really wanting to use nitrous, Im just weighing my options for my car running consistent times and run "cooler" in warmer weather.. And It would only be used for track days, (once a month).

if you wanna spray, you will need to do a dual setup to spray after the blower into the surge tanks. i know someone who tried sprayin a 50 shot in front of the blower on an e55 and showed very very minimal gains on 1/4...

If you’re looking for the "easy way" and are not willing to pull the supercharger I would stick with a dry shot, if it were me I would stick with a stock tune and a must would be a wideband that offers data logging. I would up the jet size to you reach a comfortable AFR. Plus I would recommend 100 octane or more fuel just to be safe.
IMO nitrous is a fantastic product but its really only good at the track, or on a night you know you’re going to be out looking for fight. Its not like its ready to go on the fly, you have to open the bottle or you can have a remote bottle opener to solve that but then you have to worry about bottle pressure, 800 psi does not deliver the same amount as 1400 psi so this means you have a bottle heater and its not like you drive around with it on. There’s allot things that go into a successful nitrous set up.
