Is this repair manual + diagnostic kit off E-bay good?
I'm new to the MB world and I'm trying to get a good repair manual for a 05 E55 off E-bay (CD/DVD no problems). There are few sellers but I'm not sure if the ones there are good or not.

Also I would like to connect to the car, I saw some diagnostic kit on E-bay and yet again I'm lost to which is the best. It looks like there are few deferent types of kits and I'm not sure if they're good or just gimmicks.

I purchased some service cd's off ebay a couple of years ago. Never got them to work. The seller refused to talk to me over the phone and stopped answering my emails. I contacted ebay and they said contact the seller. I gave up as it was only a few dollars.

Doesn't make sense- unless each program has it's own dedicated OS boot ROM. i doubt it.

Well like I said I ordered the software. It arrived. I printed the 25 page install document. It suggested installing on a fresh windows install. I recently built my desktop and had 100 G on the harddrive that wasn't partitioned, so I installed a dual boot fresh XP pro on that unpartitioned space with service pack 2, and no anti-virus program installed. The WIS net comes on 2 CD's. I started to install, and got to a point where I needed to e-mail my MAC address back to the seller. Waited a day and received a key. Finished the install. Needed to install some Java programs then, success. A working copy of the WISnet, no problems. I am just poking around, learning how to access the info. All in all, legit. I think I'm going to order the EPCnet from the guy now and install that too.

All I can tell you is what's in the Installation Manual:

I got it working after a great amount of effort. I had previously posted that I couldn't get it working in English, but it was a configuration thing. let me know if any of you are having problems with this. The amount of information in the manual and the number of models it covers is astounding! It seems to be a pretty good product. Here are a few picutures. The first is a picture of the exhaust. The second one shows all the models on the left!
I bought this from eBay seller carrycorner2009. I can't recommend her service, but the product is good. She's slow to answer questions and provide the key for installation.
