Very close race. I believe since both cars are so close that production variances and selecting the proper starting gear would make a difference.
Also, this video is from June 2007 and I'm not sure about the miles on the 6.2 but as it puts on thousands of miles the 6.2 tends to loosen up therefore resulting in better 1/4 mile times. That's why the 6.2 was putting down mid 12s when it first came out and now there are some in the low 12s and others even breaking the 12 sec barrier (11.9xx).
It's all good though, I'm more interested in seeing vids of the 211 E (5.5 or 6.2) beating Bimmers which is our competition.

I agree with you but me personally theres nothing more fun then some friendly competition. Just for comparison I would love to find a stock E63 owner who knos how to drive the car. I have a modded E63 that wants to play so I will like to see what a modded e63 can do as well.
Still if theres any STOCK E63'z I'm definetly willing to give it a go...FRIENDLY OF COURSE

Stock is gonna get harder and harder to find, at least ones that bought them for what they are not how they look
A lot of us are nearing warranty end and then blam throw everything on
haha...I'm putting my Carbonio back on and flashing in Feb...I do love going stock vs stock though..!!!

I love the sound of the BMW V10 but I'm not sure if I could live with it on a daily basis http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vt1_OKkZzp4
Kinda like the G35, it sounds cool hearing it drive by but listening to it on a daily basis got annoying.
That's what I love about AMG, the V8 sounds better when the exhaust is uncorked.

You can't find a heavy modded 335 because they have some type of problems holding boost or whatever. The cars were not meant to hold the boost people are putting them at. They all have an issue which leads to excuses into a huge debate.

7 speeds, quicker shifts, and more top end power, once you get up in the triple digits torque isn't doing much for you anymore. He definitely got a pull on me right at the beginning. The only disadvantage to the 7 speed at that speed, is its revving around 4500 in 2nd so you pop a shift like 1.5 seconds in. But again, since everyone has turned this thread into a bickering pissing contest, neither of us have raced our E's from a roll before, and were just curious. I didn't even know he was recording this ![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Since we were just out having some fun, not going for the AMG E Class World title, I was impressed how really close both cars are from a roll to about 100. Take away our lead weight Pano roofs and it woulda been even more fun, but then what would we have to show off to the ladies...![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)

So what do you think about the results there, sparky? I mean- you talked so much about how your 7 speeds were superior and how you shift so much beter and blah blah...
