Newbie E55 Owner, with questions

Hi all - new to the forum. Bought a 2004 E55, some quick questions:

- I hear a lot of talk about the pulley, where can I buy one and what type of performance, etc., is gained from doing the swap?

- ECU updates/upgrades, same sort of question, is this simple a chip swap or do I need to send this to someone?

- Third, I am interested in an all season wheel/tire setup, anyone have luck with a particular combo? The 20" Zenetti's are not quite suited for our OH weather...

Thanks all,

Chris

Whats up! Im in Lewis Center. Where did you get the car from? Get a set of stockers for the winter with some snow you will do just fine. Get rid of those wheels and get 19s for better performance and IMP better looks. Those are terrible. Call Eurocharged, and we are having a huge M5, E55 meet at Quaker Steak on Polaris in May. Hte Eurocharged guys will be there doing pullies and tunes. Google Timmayfest. I put that together with Tim from M5board.
Oh and welcome!

I am in Lewis Center myself, cool. I did bike nights last at Quaker Steak as well (have a Ducati 900ss). The E55 'fest sounds great, and I will be there. I will look them up.

Yeah, I am not a fan of the 20's actually, don't look no feel right. Want something different. Got the car in FL and drove it back two weeks ago. May want to trade, sell the 20's if you know if anyone...

Will do - I live just south of Lewis Center road, so we are close! What wheels/tires are you running on yours?

See you in May...

Congrats man. I'm in Hilliard. Glad to see more Ohio members here.

Pulley and tune will be the best thing you can do. As far as tires go, can't help you there. I don't drive my E in the winter, but most people suggest a set of dedicated snow tires. It really doesn't snow that much here so you may be able to get away with some all season tires. Anyway good luck and enjoy your new car.
