FANATICS, please help!!
I've had my 05 E55 for about 6 months. I have Eisenmann/ResDelete/Tune/ and my car is fast. However, I really have no clue on how to launch it. People talk about taking down very fast and expensive cars but I'm scared to race these things for the fear of failure. My problem is that whenever I wanna go fast the tires spin and then the computer comes on to rob me of my power. The engine revs hard but I can feel the computer steping in to take power.
Sometimes, by accident, on WOT, the car just pulls and pulls like a filthy pig. It feels like you're in a hot rod.
So, I need to know how to get that launch all the time. If you know how to launch this car, PLEASE help out and post. I'm sure there's got to be more then one of us on this forum who will read it. Tell what you know about launching this car, in detail, paint a picture.
I thank you for the advice.

You might want to invest in some drag radials. They're unbeatable for off the line performance. You can usually hammer it off the line without problems unlike a lot of street tires that will go up in smoke. Just make sure to heat em up first

Keep in mind, you will still have to get good at throttle management because mashing it on these beasts break most any tire loose. I like to run without traction control because it forces me to get good at throttle control under different circumstances.
The big trade off on these tires is tire wear. I just make it through a summer season with a set of T1Rs. Maybe it is because I enjoy leaving a little rubber now and then. One last point. IMHO drag radials give you more straight line grip, but you give up a bit of cornering traction in the process.

never fully step fully on the accelerator. powerbrake to 1100rpm then 1/2 down on the pedal then fully on the pedal.... it takes some time alot of practice!!!

And as far as breaking something goes... It seems the harder I drive the car the more she likes it

Thanks for the advice. Ya it seems like there is a sweet spot in between 1200rpm and 1600rpm (depending on how fast you get to that rpm) that if you squeeze at the right moment the car literally launches...
