Yeah, I figured the price is steep, and its more of like a "if I got a once in a blue moon legitimate" offer I would probably take it...I want to see what the market is like and if there is someone who wants a car like mine, and obviously what they would be willing to pay

You don't want to sell.

The price clearly indicates that.

Enjoy keeping your car, cause it ain't going anywhere.

Ill buy your evosport headers and renntech carbon intake if you part it out

edit, you seriously considering doing a criminal check for a test drive?I dont think you really want to sell this car.no one is going to bring a 30k check for a test drive.its just an e55 man.

If you decide on parting it out let me know

No test drives?
Criminal background check?
$55K?

get over your fear of driving it, since you'll be driving it forever. It's just a car. We use our E55 as our beater.

Pert, why not just park it and make it a garage queen? You can get collector's insurance for a predetermined value and it's cheap (allows 5k mileage per year.) Drive it once in a while when you feel like it.

And get yourself a POS as a DD if you're afraid of the 'sh*t happens' phenomenon.

Ahhh yes, I am a complete douche...well let me explain a couple things. One, as far as the criminal background check, I know of people who personally have been robbed by dudes coming for test drives (or for example, like these people who posted on craigslist.... http://blogs.sfweekly.com/thesnitch/...nvasion_sf.php). Secondly, as far as the cashiers check, what if I let someone test drive it, they do a burn out or try to drift on on the street and end up knocking into something damaging the car (not to mention someone else's property). Lastly, I wouldnt want people coming to take test drives just to waste my time like I was a Mercedes dealership. I completely understand that I am not selling a Bugatti or some rare vintage vehicle. And I understand if people think my price is too high. But for a couple of ****s to come on and call me a douche just because I have certain parameters for selling my car, or for asking for a certain price, well then, blow me. I realize its just an E55, no illusions that its anything that special. But I figured with the low mileage, the extended warranty, its great condition and all the mods and stereo mods I have done to it, maybe someone would want to spend between $40k-$50k on that than something with less power and a way lower end stereo. I always disregarded people when they said some of the cats on MBWORLD were complete ********. Why have I disregarded them, because 99% of the people I have encountered on this site are as legit as they come and have been nothing but helpful or nice when it comes to questions I have posted or pics i have posted.

I appreciate all constructive comments, but some of the **** on here just makes me laugh and understand why people dont like coming on here often.

Again, I realize my initial price was steep, no doubt about it, but I also said I was open to all reasonable offers and if someone made on, I would no doubt consider it

lol, paranoia is a ***** huh?

I can solve all your problems:

1. Meet in a public place. Hell meet at a police station if it makes you feel better.

2. Thats why you have insurance.

3. If you don't want people wasting your time, trade the car in. You will ALWAYS get tirekickers if you sell a car privately.

I dropped my 05 E55 off at a consignment lot...with a mix of high-end to exotic cars. They took care of filtering out the buyers, ran credit checks before test drives, kept the car detailed, etc.

The car sold relatively quickly at a price I was happy with. Just a suggestion you may want to look into....
