Now, you could possibly do a 245/35 and 285/30 in which the load rating for the front is acceptable. However, it will increase the rolling diameter by 1" which will definitely effect performance, and induce rubbing issues.

They're not blowing smoke. Based on the curb weight and weight distribution of the E-Class AMG's the issue is the front tire setup for 20" wheels. The load rating of 245/30/20 tires is not recommended, it just seems to close to the spec limit with a really good potential of going over the spec limit when the car is loaded up with passengers. The load rating for 285/30/20 tires on the rear is okay, only the fronts are an issue.
Now, you could possibly do a 245/35 and 285/30 in which the load rating for the front is acceptable. However, it will increase the rolling diameter by 1" which will definitely effect performance, and induce rubbing issues.

I am rolling on 285/25/20s and 245/30/20s. No issues so far. Only reason for my blowout was due to a nail. Tires had 80% tread left, if not better.
