I'm still working on my custom cooling setup to keep iats low. I'm going to test the jabsco cyclone pump next. While looking around for the lowest price, (I found one for $157), I came across this interesting website.

http://www.mez.co.uk/turbo13.html

The guy gets an A for effort.

Another shot of the cyclone installed.

What do I need to track my IAT's? I am 99% sure my IC pump is out because my supercharger never engages, but want to be sure.

most obd2 scan tools have a live data scan and that will show your temps.

I got mine off ebay for like 100 bucks

Thanks. What are the normal ranges lol? Also, I am in Arizona so the temps here right now are over 110 most days.

Normal is about 20-25 above ambient on a stock car and with a dead pump you will see about 165-175 from just driving around and it will shoot to 190-200 in no time on boost and shut down the s/c.

Blackbenzie good luck with that dyno run lol.Im thinking about taking mine to the track today!!!! should be fun in this heat wave.

I think the sae correction factor will adjust your dyno to show better numbers so dont worry about the heat that much.

anything over 90F ambient.. don't bother racing with this car or practically any supercharged or turbo car.

Unless meth mixture or NOS is involved.. there is practically nothing we can do with hot ambient air hitting the heat exchanger and keeping the car cool during traffic, city driving or freeway pulls.

I ended up reusing my old short block. The guy never came through with the 55k engine like planned and I got sick of the car sitting for 2 weeks waiting on a motor. Thanks! Let's see how tomorrow turns out

skratch77- I'm not worried about what numbers it puts down as long as it makes good gains. I will try to add ice in the resevoir on the last pull and see if it adds any power too.
