longtube header problem

longtube header problem

Im in the process of ordering a set of longtubes, and ive called about every muffler shop in my area and they all say there arnt willing to even look at a header install on a mercedes.

I live in greenville south carolina, does anybody know of a shop experienced in this field anywhere in the southeast? prefferably Charlotte or atlanta?

bascially someone who is willing to install the headers and cut the mid pipe and reweld it

Don't necessarily call muffler-only shop.... the fact that it is a Mercedes may intimidate them a little bit especially since they don't do that type of install everyday. Try calling Performance shops, tuners, independent Euro car shops, etc.... Or you can always try taking it to the dealership (if your warranty has expired already0 and have them install it themselves.

If you still can't find someone to do the job and all else fails, you can always ship it to your nearest big tuner, probably RennTech would be closer to you than Kleemann.

Buckhead Imports did mine on my last E55 AMG and have tons of experience with AMG and M cars. Great prices and a great group of guys. Have their own in house tuner, kleeman dealer etc.

I'm like you. I just ordered some Kleemann headers and I'm finding most exhaust shops don't want to touch them down here. I might have to drive to Nashville / ATL if my mechanic says he can't do it.
