Guys:
I just got an estimate for a few things and, assuming all of these things are indeed required (I believe they are), I want to get a feel for pricing. Are these fair?
ACC Cabin Filter Set Activated Charcoal $118
Mann Oil filter kit $15
Air Filter (2) $65
Motul 8100 5w40 X-Clean (8) $80
Spark Plugs (16) $465
Antifreeze (2) $37
6.9 gal/min Water Pump upgrade $354
Supercharger Clutch $1,070
Clutch Coupling $934
Supercharger Belt $40
Shop Supplies $70
Service D (service items 4,9,10,14) $428
Replace Plugs $375
Coolant Flush $107
Replace Water Pump $214
Replace Supercharger Clutch, Coupling, Belt $535
HAZMAT $30
$3251 in parts and $1688 in labor total. Comments?
Thanks,
Matt

from what i understand the whole s/c cluch assembly sells for 1000. dont know what the clutch coupling is or if it is even needed.
Since my car is modified I run a step colder NGK plugs and got them for 100 shipped.
you can get a meziere pump for less than 200 which is way better than any other pump

The total cost for the plugs would be $840...$465 for the plugs and $375 labor. They claim 4 hours of labor which I find hard to believe.
From what I've read it's pretty easy to replace the plugs and you can get them for $15 or so each...probably should remove this line item, although it does bring into question the other labor rates...

The parts are listed at the top of the list and labor is at the bottom. The parts for the clutch are $1,900 and the labor is $535 so about $2,400 total...

search the OEM parts on line...
and find a good mechanic.
I just bought plugs for about $100 for all 16.
btw... you can do certain things now and others can wait.
keep searching this forum.. atleast you are on the right approach.

You'll only need 1 supercharger clutch assembly.
1130900044 is the improved clutch unit. Sells for around $765 at parts.com

Toyota Supra
As a reference, here are some hours straight from AllData for these jobs:
Spark plugs: 3.5hrs
Water pump (I'm assuming you mean SC pump): 1.1 hrs (couldn't find time on a 2003, used 2004). Add another .5 to custom wire an aftermarket unit.
Drain/refill coolant: .6 hrs (1.4 for a full coolant system inspection and flush)
Supercharger clutch: 1.8 hrs for the pulley (based on 2004). Add at most 1 hr to replace the cluth.
Also, he's putting right about a 100% mark up on the parts, assuming he's getting them from Worldpac, which I'm sure he is.
Hope that helps you make a decision on whether to use this guy.
I will say that I don't like his choice of Motul X-Clean for your car. That is a mid SAPS oil which really should not be used on gasoline engines in the USA that call for long oil change intervals. Xmax or Xcess would be a better choice.

I have the cooler plugs also. NGK LFR7AIX (2309). I paid $125 at Rockauto.
You can get them cheaper here:

I have P0410 Code
Secondary Air Injection Malfunction.
When reving the engine the supercharger doesn't kick in and the magnet isn't activated on the SC clutch. I was told that when reving the engine the magnet should click and get the SC on. I think this should happen around 2000rpm. Checked the clutch itself and it is working. Also checked the Secondary air pump and it is running as well (maybe unrelated to this issue).
But for some reason the computer will not activate the SC clutch.
Does any one know what else I need to check, or what else can be wrong.
Any info would be appreciated.
