Used S65 or Keep E55?
A friend of mine asked if I were interested in buying his 2007 S65 with 18K miles on it. He is quite wealthy and said he would sell it to me for the same price he could get for trade-in on a new Bentley.
The question is would you sell your E55 with 42K miles and buy a used S65 at a great price? And what would you consider a great price versus the current price for a used 2007 S65? The discount would have to be considerable for me to give up my E55, which looks and drives like new.

I would do it in a heartbeat if everything lined up correctly in terms of affordability. Those cars are freaking monsters and light years ahead of an E55.

There's something a lot more raw and brutal about the E55 than any of the other AMGs I've ridden in and test drove - one being the S65 - that made me choose it over the other 55s and 65s.
That's not to say I don't/wouldn't want a V12TT at an outstanding purchase price - it's just that the E55, to me, is an all around package (comfort, sporty, luxury, with a violent sheer surge of power delivery, that will surely put a grin even on the most humble person).

my friend just got one - they're in the $80k range. depending on miles, my guess is the bentley dealer will low ball him w/ $60-65k, LOL.
you should tell us what the dealer says just for fun.
either way, you should get warranty and pricing all set up before you make any deal to buy it. my friend's 07's been in the shop many times already, and so has my recent S600.

Bro I don't know how you even ask for opinions on whether you should or shouldn't do it?!
If my buddy with his S600 would ask me if I wanted to pick his up I wouldn't even hesitate to tell him to grab his papers.

The V12TT is the only logical next step for one that has owned a V8 Kompressor car.
Now show us the pics, we know the deal is done

I would do it if you could get an extended warranty on the car and that will be extremely tough because it is a V12. If your friend purchased the car new or CPO and is still under either warranty, he can extend the warranty and then ultimately transfer it to you. The would be the best way to go plus you have a MB warranty to cover you. Keep in mind, it can be as much as $6-7K to extend the factory warranty and $4K to extend the CPO warranty. Good luck!

I say, take the money that you are thinking of spending on the pontoon and then spend not much more and get something really slow - ZR1, FTW.

I love my E55 but an S65 is my next ride as soon as I can afford it.
Once moddded the S65 can be almost 900 fl/lb of torque and 750HP. It weighs a lot but still from a roll, that will give a lamborgni a run for it's money.
