Thanks MO, I promise: I will not have any major mods underway the week preceding our next track rental. You will not get 4 PM's from me saying: "I cant go (WHAAAAA).. my car is not done!! - I'm In!!! - Im out.. Maybe... Oh ****.. I'll make it!
Seriously!

Oh.. Can I swap pins / solder / whatever INSIDE the Audi TB, so as not have to hack into wiring? Over and out!@

I recall he told me that only 2 weekends are available in February when I was talking to him at the track but he wasn't sure which one. I've been calling him once a day since.... he made a big mistake when he gave me his cell phone number
anyone here with an Audi TB that works without CEL or other issues?
As I said, this is just to keep me sane..
If I dont have a project (regardless of reality), I will do something stupid to my car
I need to play with my meth nozzles anyway WHAT

I may not do all of this, and the TB may be a bust, but as I mentioned, I hate down time, and would rather play with "Spare Parts"...
The thing I really need most is some LT headers and exhaust. the rest is just play time for now....
Since day 1 that I started the car after installing it, I have never have any issues. No CEL.
It was no easy job to adapt it to the car. First of all, by removing the SC was a very complicated job, then the adapter plate to the SC inlet, and then the wiring.
But after all I think it is worth it... ($1600+ 82mm tb kit vs $200 audi tb)
Bosch is a manufacturer of DBW throttle bodies. They do not preference 1 particular vehicle.
To date there are 4 Bosch TPS (what you call the cap) and 2 different style of housing.
For simplicity sake we will call the Audi 82mm unit a "large" body and a C320 a "small body". All large body units are identical mechanically. The difference lies in the actual TPS (the Cap as you called it) .
Porsche / Mercedes-Benz & Volvo use 1 style of TPS connector
Volkswagen / Audi / Seat / Skoda & BMW use the 2nd style of TPS connector.
For those of you who have PM'ed me over the year , I have directed you to the forum sponsor Jerry@Eurocharged. He can even supply you with a plug and play harness so that you not have to actually do any repining of your OEM connector.
Watch out for an 85mm and 90mm unit released from him soon.
