Would a v2 with remote be worth $500 though??

Just the fact that they dont hack into my car by cutting the wires is worth it to me.....the remote becomes free!

You don't have to cut into the wires on the V2. The V2 can be taken out if/when you sell the car and put into the next Benz. I would say yes.

Thank you, that was my point.....V1 hack job......V2 clean install with the remote. No brainer for $500. If $500 is a deal breaker....save up bro.

What exactly is involved with installing the V2? Is this a DIY job?

Yep, it is plug and play. You have to remove pins from the MB harness and plug the V2 pins in. The V1 you cut and at tape...no thanks.

Im pretty sure that module will not work for your airmatic e55 because it is for ABC equipped cars...

I had a lowering module myself, but switched over to lowering links... a lot better imo!

No, the renntech V1 an V2 and V3 is for the E55s. No way you could possibly say links, star or washers are better then an ELM. No way! Cheaper maybe......but no way BETTETR.

I had a kleeman module and absolutely hated it. Adjusting the car to sit perfect was a pita, after spending numerous hours on the phone with Cory, I decided to unplug that pos, and goto links, the headache free solution.

I love kleemann but their ELM is no comparison to renntech.

I went with star and have had no complaints yet. I guess I am a cheap sob cause $90 sounded better to me than $1600 just to lower the car. But who knows what time will bring. If the star does not hold up then I may ride the $1600 train lol

Thanks guys
I had the V1 installed on my 2004 when they first came out. No problems with it and it still works great. Install had to be done by a pro due to the splicing. I like it but would had preferred a plug and play. The unit was $1500. new.
