Talking Anyone have 3" exhaust from headers back (no cats)

Anyone have a sound clip of the stock exhaust, but re done with 3" piping from the headers back. 1 and 2 cat deleted, resonators deleted?

1. Would it sound good on the stock exhaust? Sound clip?
2. Power gains?
3. Gas smell?

I know a CEL will be thrown, but a ECU remap will take care of that issue...

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Your

bottom end torque will plummet a ton.
Also tread softly thinking an ecu remap is going to get around cat deletes.
At most you gain 8-10 hp ridding yourself of the primaries, not worth the risk of the greater issues encountered messing with the ecu.
forewarned is forearmed
that in addition to the noise you will have droning in your ears and bones.

I have 3" setup from stock headers to stock mufflers, no cats. Smells really bad, sounds awesome. I'd get a sound clip for you but my engine is all apart right now haha

Me, just had them done. All 4 cats and resonator taken off

Had the ECU remapped and rear O2 sensors turned off. No CEL.

As for sound, there is NO drone. If you ask me I expected it to be much louder and and kind of dissapointed.

Power gains? Maybe a little bit but nothing you're going to notice too much.

Jason

Oh, and it smells and sounds like a old muscle car hah

I am running long tubes, with a full 3 inch piping all the way back to the stock mufflers. I also have a x-pipe where the secondary cat used to be.

1. I will try to get off my azz and get a video clip of my exhaust. I've had a few people ask me for it and I haven't had the opportunity to get one. Hopefully tomorrow.

2. I'm not sure. As people have mentioned, I do feel a lil lack of torque down low but honestly, I still know I have enough.

3. Gas smell is indeed there. Personally I don't mind.

1) full 3" exhaust and LT headers
2) no loss in bottom end (the best exhaust for a turbo/supercharged car is no exhaust at all)
3) the sound is absolutely "intoxicating"
4) no CEL (with custom tune)

leave the cats.

car stinks
louder (not a bad thing)
emissions issues (depending on city or state testing)

hp gains are minimal at best...

Emissions are pretty strict here in BC, no cats is an instant FAIL... Perhaps some high flow cats would do the trick...

benzoboi still waiting on that clip!
