Anyone every explored the avenue or getting a custom ring and pinion made
I know you can step up to a SL55 rear, but that is such a small jump it would not be worth it.Imagine with our tq monsters what that would feel like and how it would improve 1/4 mile times although the top end would suffer a little. Would we be able to calibrate our speedo's as I am sure the computer would freak out?

Anyhow ... the hardware (being non trivial) is a walk in the park compared to getting the EGS to play ball... Even though my car with a 2.82 runs OK - I still think there is room for EGS improvements ...I am convinced the ECU/EGS pull performance somewhere along the line especially when speed climbs as the system sees larger delta differences between expected wheel speeds and actual wheel speeds...
I have yet to hear of one 3.06 running 100%, while there are a few 2.82's running reasonably ok.
Anyhow, some free advice ... dont go there.
