I will return min in a week and hold off for the slimmer one,but this thing still does the job well for 250.

Here is a picture with it next to a droid cell.I just mount it to my sun visor and everything is right in front of me while driving.
AND MADE ME WANT ONE TOO!!!

Played with it for a few minutes this morning, good stuff.

I plugged in the scanner, then started the app. Turned on my car, then enabled BT on my phone. Went in to settings on my phone, paired with the BT scanner and then went back to the torque app and everything was connected.
Not sure if that's the "correct" way, but it worked for me.

Thankfully this application will be 95 percent plug-n-play.
Once you've got the Torque app installed and the Blutooth adapter installed you will need to add the OBDII BT device to your phone---same way you would add a headset or anything else bluetooth enabled.
BUT--- IT WILL ONLY READ "PAIRED BUT NOT CONNECTED"
There is one more step will get everything talking together.
Open the Torque application. Once on the main screen, click the phone's "menu" button and a bar with "Settings" and "Quit" will pop up. Don't be a quitter and click settings.
Next, find "Choose Bluetooth Device" and click on it.
Then finally click on "OBDII"
This should save you about 45 mins of scratching your head, cussing, pulling out your hair, and thinking you got a defective Bluetooth device.
This is far and away the coolest 35 bucks I have ever spent.
Thanks buddy. I was getting the frustration on, and then I saw your post. All setup now.
As I'm sure you know, you'll want to plug the phone in while you're using it. I played with it for about half an hour unplugged and it drained about 25% of my battery. The Droid X is amazing, but it consumes power like crazy when it's doing anything other than standing by. I bet you cold suck it dry in under 2 hours without trying too hard.
I purchased a universal one in case I get a different droid at some point. It has a vent mount, 3M dash mount, and solid windshield mount. It feels like a well built mount for the price.
