Its official, NEXEN tires SUUUUUCCCKKKK.
Thanks for the heads up guys . This is the second set of Nexen tires I've had. Both sets came with the wheels I bought and now I'm starting to see why I got such good deals on the wheels.
Not only do I not have traction in ANY gear, but they melt under spirited driving. Even on a rolling start, they lose just enough grip to have the ECU step in and rob me of some of that madness.
I just did my bimonthly detail and this is after 1 run!
My question is this, what tire do you guys recommend that works well on some 19's. I don't need drag radials but I'd like to actually feel that 180mm pulley and tune. Any advice is greatly appreciated...

The Nitto's are right in the middle as far as pricing. The Falkens most affordable. How long do these tires last, how many miles?
Do you guys love them? It seems like its a must to have good tires with these cars, after all, they were $95K new.
I want headers, should I get the tires first?

You can get the invos for 197 shipped at discount tire direct. Com.I would get them or the nt05s.
Welcome to the modded world on trying to find a tire that put down the 600rwtt
I ran dragradials on the street and about to order the motto nt01 cup tire for my beast.

Agreed! I had them on a wore them off in 3 months. Currently runing Hankook V12 EVO's and they seem to grip fairly well. Definately way better than the NEXEN.

Its the tire dressing, I use airsol spray tire dressing so it doesnt get behind the lip of the wheel, goes on thin and always wipe it down after it soaks in. Works like a charm

Trying Nittos for the first time this year so I can't comment yet.
My PS2's were just light years different/better than the stock Contis.
Very pleased with my Toyo tires. I was running 888's so a bit extreme but I bet their performance tires are great also.

Is the performance of the NT05's worth the extra $60 per tire over the Invos? What model/part number of the NT05 or Invo should I be shopping for, or is that what they're called, the "NT05" and "Invo"?

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
Why spend much money on tires anyway?
For these cars I have learned to buy on the cheaper end of the spectrum.
I drive about average mileage, and average conditions/pretty "normal spirited" not crazy driving - and rears last me about 10 months or 10-12000 miles.
Alignment is spot on, tires balanced correct, good pressure, etc.... these cars just have excessive negative camber for cornering.
Why spend 350 a piece on rears a little more than twice a year?
I actually have loved General Exclaim UHPs but they are discontinued.
What do ya'll think of the Hankook ventus evo K112, Sumo HTR 3's, or Yoko S drives?
P.S. the pic looks like tire dressing anyway....!!!
