How many miles were on the car? Also did you speak with the dealership seeing they were the last ones to work on the car (curious to hear how MB would response to something so catastrophic?).
Very strange phenomenon giving your car is stock..

Blew up as in 2 rods came out oil pan.
Just spoke with Bruce at TTM, great guy, soon as I find a complete engine to purchase he will be putting it in. Hopefully someone will have a nice one for me.

I have one that I sourced for myself that has 72k on it for $8500 plus shipping. Send me a PM and I will give you details since I need a few pieces off of your blown motor for a special project...

Yes I did the dealership said they installed a new alternator and camshap positioning sensor they didn't touch motor, they dont care they are the dealership.
Adianaty,I found one with 55,000 for $9000.00 delivered kind of high I just missed one on here with 56,000miles for 7000 and was local that i could have picked up. I have my old motor still your welcome to buy anything thats good still off of it evrything but the heads down is in good shape I think an injector went so I'm not going to sell them.

Thanks and I'm glad you found one. Its the golden rule of when you need something it always ends up being more than what you expect to pay. I sent you a PM since I only need a couple of the pulleys off the blown motor so PM me back what you want for them shipped to 91326. If you need pictures to describe them better let me know. Thanks!

I don't believe in coincidences. And motor blowing up 81 miles after picking your car up from service is too much of a co-inky-dinky.
Before you take anything apart or touch what the dealership might have caused...
After crank trigger sensor is replacement, does anyone know if there is a process for the ECM or PCM to relearn or reset baseline timing-- or if the replacement of the CTS can cause extremely advanced timing?
How did the car run after leaving dealership? Was it sluggish, or "pinging"?
Did you have any noises BEFORE motor grenaded? Excessive valve train noises, or the "thudding" of a lower rod bearing going out.
I'm wondering in their work they could have removed enough of the air intake/air cleaner housing and possible introduced a foreign object that could have made it's way into the combustion chamber OR have been sucked in from sloppy repair cleanup....
I'd hate to see you drop 12K for someone ELSES mistake or shoddy work.

well they replaced a sensor that is sensing the position of the crank, that is related to your car blowing up.I would call a lawyer and rain hell on that dealership.
They fed up the install,if the timing is off your car is going to ignite a cylinder when its not supposed to and bam,you get a hole in you block once you in boost.
This is 100% there fault

Normally aspirated cars can handle the timing being off...
Once you supercharge turbo-charge, or do anything to create any pressure greater than atmospheric----ALL THE RULES CHANGE.
Have you checked to see if possibly the sensor has come loose, this could have possibly caused a timing change.
I AGREE WITH SKRATCH, THEY F'D UP THE INSTALL.
Contact a lawyer and align with another shop to do some sort of "engine forensic analysis".
Your car is stock and is not even close to high mileage.

Wish you didn't have block damage. For 9K you could buy all new slugs and maybe even a crank. Well at least the slugs.
