W210 and W211 are basically same engine platform. What I am saying is, who is really gonna do their W211 now ? removing the SC and try to do Turbo ? This doesn't make sense unless you busted your SC then you wanna something different. Who is willing to sacrifice their E55K to do that project if the car is running strong. For W210 few people tried because they have no Force induction so they want something with real power so few of them decided with Kleemann or HPS SC kit. There is no Turbo kit for any W210 or W211, you just have to customize it. Are you willing to do that with your own car ? removing the SC and try to customize Turbo ? I rather drive it for 3 more years and get my self a 5.5TT IMO

I would do a pair of 35r on a 5.4L V8. Two 30s are just too small and will provide a lot of restriction on the exhaust. Ballbearing 35s will spool quick and have serious top end Add some meth to the equation on ar E85 tune.....

I'd honestly do it if I had the money to do it right now. I've done it before on just about every car I've owned in the past decade...lol.

While the tolerance for lag is relative, 35r's would have a pretty decent amount of lag in them ( though not huge ) and are physically lager than gt30's making space more of a problem. GT30's can put down an easy 700whp.

You know what, I may have over think the system. What if we ran a pair of gt30r with internal wastegate (for simplicity) and feed the charged air directly into the TB and then compress by the SC?

I want to do this in South Africa, so if anyone has a reality to the idea, I will be looking forward to this if it, indeed can be a reality. I would rather like the idea of an "Absolutely Ridiculous" E55K, that would roar like a ferrocious Lion and that would mould your opponents to "Stone" like "Medusa"

Don't waste your time with internal wastegates. If you want simplicity, buy a Vette...lol.

I also agree that anything beyond a gt30xx would sacrifice the superb responsiveness of the current sc engine.

True, I am fortunate and own a few rare select supercars, but just want my E55K to be on a league like "no Way" My E55K is ferrociously fast, all work done by AMG - SA, they busy installing SLR charge coolers to my beast for ultimate Track fun. Yes SLR charge coolers, which I was lucky to buy in the Gulf State of Sharjah. So thats how it goes with all of us. Always having fun under the bonnet, car or in the cockpit.

Turbo charcing a 2vavle head, with 3 spark plugs can only mean, let loose the "Kraken" Letssee what happens.

MY BAD EXCUSE ME IT'S WHAT PAST 3AM, I MEANT 3 VALVE AND 2 SPARK PLUG HEAD CONFIGURATION IN THE <E55K HEAD> I REALLY HOPE IT CAN BE A REALITY JUST FOR THE FAST FACTOR IN REAL TIME.

While possible, the tuning would be more complicated as would the entire setup. It would also be a bit useless as a simple twin turbo setup would make more power than anyone could put down if pushed. No real need for twin charging when you have 5.4L of displacement.

Internal or external, they will both get the job done. External for higher powered setups and internal for lower powered ( yet still high powered ) and cheaper setups. But externals should be easy enough to fit in the engine bay so...why not.

hey sounds like me , were actually doing a single turbo gt35r now, got most of the parts already - precision bb turbo, tial wastegate and BOV, also doing a fuel set up with a paxton pump and FPR.. remote mount.. talking to aem about a custom ems unit.. either that or motec.. just tought finding a good tuner in LA..

Gintani/oe tuning would be a good choice for your tuner.
Btw....what are your goals for this project?
Curious why you went with one turbo.

A GT3582R is a pretty small turbo for a 5.4L engine.

its got a crap load of junk in the trunk already, meth, nitrous, cooling box lol.. gotta make room for liquid to air intercooler, fuel system etc.. still debating on twin if i do then i might have the turbos sitting flushed into the rear carbon diffuser on each side and have the exh side come out back to the tips where they sit now
as for fuel were still deciding how to run it..either twin 044's or a single paxton, also gonna get the ttm fuel rail as well..
I have no idea where this is gonna take me, all that matters is finding a good tuner.. cus i already know its prob gonna take a long time to dial this sucker in, after all the crap i been thru with this car , lessons learned nothing comes easy lol

Yep, sure is you.

I didn't want to let the cat out of the bag, since I wasn't sure how much you wanted to make public.

This build couldn't get more epic after the first round of mods and Misha-Dom.

I was wrong. Good luck, chica

I'd go twin 044's. I'd also place the turbo's in the engine bay. There is honestly plenty of room for this.

No longer stock '06 E55, A3 3.2 Quattro, LRD4 HSE, R107 280SL
well.... dream setup is stock S/C + SLR coolers PLUS some snails... turbo's take over at high rpm and S/C takes care of bottom end.... you can even run a stock sized pulley and will make the turbos spool rediculously quickly, and you could run 35's with zero lag.

this is pretty complicated plumbing wise but I know it can be done somehow (i know its smaller platform but one of the VW's out know have dual F/I system.) ... if u gonna go to the effort of putting on turbo's may as well do it using as much of the existing setup as possible?

Building it is easy since the stock SC packaging is very compact, but the big problem is that there is no tire known to man that will make such a torque monster stick on the street. Trust me, some lag will be your friend...lol.

dont do the single gt35r J. The lag is horrid, we did that on the crossfire, and it had to be redone.

should be an awsome project...but your dead on with the tuning. Its a freaking nightmare! The car is just not used to seeing boost at those levels and causes all sorts of issues. It took us a while to dial in the xfire (c32 engine) and we learned a lot in the process. I would be surprised if you could get a ems working with the car. Go with tuning the stock ecu if you can.

A 35r on a 3.2 liter V6 and 5.4 liter v8 is going to be a huge difference so I would not say the lag would be bad at all. I would not use a regular 35r though, I would at least use an HTA 35r if I was looking for that turbo size/power level and wanted a Garrett turbo. And perhaps even look at other options like a ball bearing Precision 6262 or even one of the new Borg Warner EFR 8374 turbos. The 8374 would offer much better power potential and even spool quicker and perhaps even drop to the EFR 7670 for stupid fast spool and the power potential of the 35r.

Wow...that setup is SICK! It's a pretty fantastic idea as well. Remove the 55K supercharger and just shove a T67 in there and have the exhaust manifold up-pipe ( 2" diameter each ) come up to the turbo and then have the downpipe split into two downpipes ( 2.5" each ) as it comes back down to the rest of the exhaust. I've looked at my engine bay pretty carefully and I think this setup would fit great!

Actually, a single GT3582R with a .63 T3 GT housing on a 3.2L V6 should spool nearly instantaneous. I've driven a VW 2.8L VR6 with this setup and the spool was pretty insane, even when he switched to the .82 the spool was still VERY good.....it also put down 600whp on this housing. I'm guessing you used a T4 housing?

On the 55K though, the single GT35R would be on the small side. We are talking about a 70% increase in displacement and two more cylinders for more sequential exhaust pulses. A T67 or GT4094R would be the ideal turbo for quick spool and excellent power ( 650+whp ). Don't care for a little lag ( Full boost by 3500-3800rpm )? Jump on a GT4202R and see 800whp! I just don't think it'll fit where you placed the crossfires...lol. Twins would be better in this situation.
