EPIC FAIL Seat Position!!! PLEASE HELP
I have a problem with my E63, when I lower the back seats of my E63 behind the passenger side seat this causes the front passenger seat to move to this awful awkward position. Which could be ok if nobody was traveling with me. When someone is traveling with me they almost cant fit in the car because the seat is so close and they are dangerously close to the airbag, i need the ability to adjust the seat when the rear back seat is down.
I am an adult and can figure out how to adjust a seat appropriately with what is in the back seat of the car without the car doing it for me. This feature is awful, dangerous and grossly dumb. I want to have this removed ASAP what do I need to do.
Regards,
KC

Check if there are any fuses running to the rear seat and pull it lol.
I don't really have a good answer, just felt like typing because I'm bored at work.

or get the seat into a comfortable position with the rear seats up, then unplug all the cables from the underneath of the seat so it won't be able to move forward when you bring the rear seats down.

Thanks for the response guys! The fuse isnt a bad idea or even the cable but I was hoping it could be turned off with STAR, since the C63 doesnt have this what i believe to be dumb feature. Do you know if this feature is also on the E55?

Do not disconnect the front passenger seat since it is controlled by CAN.
What's going on is that the safety switch on the rear seat indicates that the rear seat isn't in correct position. It then assumes that the rear seat is folded and adjusts the front passenger seat to make room.
The best solution would be to fool the switch in the rear seat physically in some way. But make sure it is properly locked each time you have had the back seat lowered since you wouldn't get a warning if not. You don't want to be in a crash with the seat not properly locked...

In my E55, once it has moved forward, you can move it back again to the edge of the rear seat. Can't you do that in an E63?

Just curious, are you taking out the rear seat cushions? There's a small locking bar that allows you to take them out. Then you remove the headrests from the seat backs. This gives you a totally flat cargo space and with a good sized gap between the front seats and the folded down seat backs.

Fixed!! You can disable the feature with STAR! Took about 20 minutes of digging to find out where to disable the function.
