anyone have a hook up for an amg 80mm tb?

IM trying to hunt one down so if anyone has one laying around send me a pm.

Im also going to do something that I dont think has been done before and I think it will pick up 30-40whp.

I dont want to spill the beans yet but its going to work on stock cars.

Thanks bro ill call the shop tom!!!.

Here's is a hint if what im doing...I just got a stock sc inlet and im going to cut that huge chunk of metal out of it that directs the air.

I don't know if its going to cause any drivability issues but im willing to try it out for the forum.

Ps thanks chad for getting me your inlet that fast!

any pics of what you guys are talking about? How about also eliminating the bypass valve...I think it's pretty useless.

That "Blockage" is needed. Cut that out and you're going to lose boost and supercharger efficiency

I tend to agree. It's not like adding the part of the casting was easy. They must have done it for a reason.

But to validate the gain I think you should do it with the stock 74mm tb instead.

Just to be clear,Im doing this to the STOCK s/c inlet, here is a pic of chads old stock inlet that I am going to mod.

Im also goin to bore the tb opening part out as much as I can and make a few holes to be able to swap from the stock tb or to a 80mm.Thats why Im looking for an 80MM also

Here is a picture of what I want to cut out.

You can't cut that out, it's going to either kill boost entirely or affect it REALLY bad. The inlet of the sc screws is in the above area, the hump block reversion and also help make a smooth transition to the inlet of the screws. I've never disassembled an E55 supercharger, but I have disassembled other SC's and that hump is mandatory.

What I DO wish to do is block the lower throttle body.

Because of reversion. That humps helps keep boost inside the screws trapped. It's also aerodynamic.

The hump is not air-tight again the sc though. There's a gap between the SC and the hump (the gasket only outline the sc inlet, not the hump, hence the gap).

That hump might be there to help off boost throttle smoothness, like if you went wot for 2 seconds and then let off the gas 100%

I cant see us losing boost as the twins are sucking air in,I will look at the setup closly when the blower is off the car and might just cut out a small chunk and see what happenes

Well, there isn't a single SC ( roots or screw ) that I've worked with that doesn't have this hump. I'm all up for testing new ideas so you definitely have my vote for testing if you have the time to spare...but the theory is that it'll lose a lot of efficiency without that hump.

It's not a theory it's a fact. that "Hump" is what keeps the pressure in the screws

Can you unplug the bypass throttle body to see what happens? Or is the plug accessible enough that I can do it without pulling the inlet? I think we can get full boost at all times with it disconnected and cheat the torque management.
