E55 at Angeles Crest Highway in Los Angeles
Last time I went up the road I had stock rims and tires, and I was very disappointed with the way my car handled; however, with the forgestar rims, 245/285 hancock V12s and with lowered suspension I was shocked with the amount of grip I had and the steering response.
My day ended with a bad alternator but with a smile on my face since I was surprised with the handling,
Waranty took care of the alternator...

Last week there was even an oil slick on the road which made me head into the other lane with a Ford SUV coming right at me, Fortunately I was able to recover, Ford swerved, and all was well. This not in the AMG as I do not drive it daily.
Gorgeous road, hidden CHIP hideouts. Lots of photo opps, and hundreds of lost souls.
AV News staff report
ANTELOPE VALLEY - The lure of the open road and the challenge of navigating a mountain highway is one of the reason motorcycle riders love the weekends.
And though most riders are very careful and considerate of other motorist, that fantastic ride could end in tragedy through no fault of their own. That has been the case recently on Angeles Crest Highway.
A series of fatal collisions on the mountainous pass involving motorcyclists has raised concerns of the California Highway Patrol. Between 2007-2009, there were 10 motorcycle-involved fatalities and 195 injuries, according to the Highway Patrol records.
And recently three motorcyclists were killed in separate collisions within weeks of the reopening of the lower portion of the Angeles Crest Highway in June. Motorcyclists have posted videos on the Internet of near misses on the infamous roadway.
Therefore, CHP officers will patrol the dangerous highway on Saturday, July 30 as part of a motorcycle safety enforcement campaign.

I've experience that when the brakes are working double-time, they tend to mess with other electronics such as the alternator. Don't ask me how I know.

I got the brakes warmed up really hot, I am guessing it was my SBC that messed up my alternator, also had the HID on, don't ask just wanted my car to look nice at 5000 elevation
Seldom beyond ~80% though. That’s what track days are for.
Gave it up when a close friend met his maker on a GSX-R.
Still enjoy a casual cruise along that serpentine and panoramic stretch on occasion.
