How to properly mod a pewter E55 AMG?

I'm between two different E55's at the moment...One is an 05 silver with 54k miles...The other an 04 Pewter with 44K Miles...The 04 has a Pano Roof so it looks very nice on the Pewter...

But never thought I'd consider a Pewter car...

Sooooooooooo...Help me out here please...I've searched high and low for modified pics and I'm barely finding any...Could anyone give reccomendations on wheels both color and style? How about Tint, yay or nay?

The Pewter alone isn't aggresive enough for me but it does look very classly in person...

Thanks

Check my garage, I get alot of compliments on my car. I feel like it needs a smoked tint, I've seen the tint on a Pewter S class in Hollywood and it looks threatening.

Mine is an '05, lowered via STAR, lightly tinted, flat hood emblem, E63 taillights, E63 rear spoiler lip and a set of 20" EURO RS rims with a huge 4" lip out back. The pewter looks perfect, imho. The color is really classy but the mods give it an aggressive look. I can try to send you some pictures or maybe I can grow a brain and figure out how to post a picture...

I know its not an E55 but heres my brothers pewter C-class. The s65 style wheels he put on made it look 100x more aggressive. They flow very well with the car imo.

Keep the suggestions coming guys...This is a really really big decision for me...The car is great...I NEVER imagined I would like pewter...But in person I kept telling my buddy that there was "something" about it...Granted it's not as aggressive as black but my last 4 years have been black cars and I can't stand the never ending battle of trying to keep it looking clean...

Christian please feel free to email me photos it would be greatly appreciated...

All others...Thanks for comments and keep suggestions coming...It's an E55 AMG...My buddy and I couldn't decide if that colors needs some type of gun metal wheels with tint...Or bright machine polished wheels with no tint? Examples of these would help...

Thanks!

Here is my pewter beast.

Granted, at night pewter looks more like silver.

My diesel wagon in pewter:

What I've done so far is debadging, facelift rear spoiler, 20" wheels, 20% tint

Upcoming mods are complete E63 conversion with blacked out grill and CF-lip. Also gonna rebuild the headlights with the facelift look and LED, but preserve the electronics from my old ones not to lose the active cornering.

How do you swap the facelift headlights? I'm interested in doing this but have read that it is difficult to swap the entire headlight. Do you just swap the lenses? Is it a direct fit as well?

Well, no mods on the pewter car below at least not on the outside , but I wanted to show you the way pewter looks in different lighting. I own two pewter MBs. I really love the color now. Especially when the cars are super clean on a sunny day. I think they have more depth than silver.

Hey GT-ER, beautiful F-ng ride. It is like super elegance with understated "beast" if that makes any since.

I haven't done it yet, but I hope it's a direct fit. The plan is to swap the lenses and the chrome "reflectors" on the low beam. I'll also try to swap the entire high beam unit with the LED parking light.

There are aftermarket Depo's that uses the xenon units from the OEM pre facelift units, but with the facelift look. A lot cheaper and simplier, but then I'll lose the active cornering function.

I'll come back with info on how (or if) it worked out as expected.

Car free at the moment
I had a Desert Silver 210 car. Desert Silver is the predecessor to Pewter; I think it might be a bit more gold-ish. Had the windows tinted with Llumar metallic film. I selected it primarily because at the time it offered the best performance. It's somewhat reflective and bronze colored. Looks really good on a light gold car and offers a bit of privacy. Something to consider.

Thanks bro. I was unsure if Pewter was the color I wanted at first but now it's definitely got my love.

Great thanks for the info! I look forward to seeing your progress. By the way do all E55's equipped with bixenon headlights come with the active cornering function?

It is separate options, but I don't know how it was packaged in the US for you guys since I have better knowledge in the euro market.

I believe you had these options pre facelift:
Halogen
Bi-Xenon
Bi-Xenon with active cornering

...and these after facelift:
Halogen
Bi-Xenon
Bi-Xenon with active cornering
ILS (Intelligent Light System, not available in the US as far as I know)

There is also a passive cornering light that uses the fogs when turning in city traffic. That option is possible to activate in SDS.

(We're moving a bit offtopic here, but if you have some more questions just start a new thread on the subject or send me a PM)
