Hey all,
Well, I have wired thing on my car, Cylinder 6 injector goes open circuit from time to time, I knew that by checking it by OBD scanner frequently. Only one time it threw check engine light and other times no check light. I checked the wiring coming to the injectors and it had voltages, how much, I don't know, I just used an LED to check if there is power coming or not.
Anyone had similar experience before on that? I have 550cc injectors.
Another thing, temprature here now 46 degC - 52 degC (115 degF - 126 degF) in day time and my IATs are ( 133 degF - 140 degF) while cruising with a little pushing on gas.
When I go WOT I got additional 8 - 12 degC ( 14 - 21 DegF), and then recovered in less than 30 seconds to 6 - 9 DegC above outside temperature. Is that good enough?
Another thing, While cruising on highway, on a speed of 60 - 80 MPH ( 100 - 130 KPH):
- What is the engine timing that is considered ok or normal?
- What should be the timing While idle?
- What should be the timing while WOT?
My engine mods if it helps:
- Brabus Pulley (around 168 - 170mm)
- 82mm TB
- 550 injectors + TTM fuel rail design
- K&N filters
- Stock spark plugs

i remember you were going to install meth kit !!!
maybe you need a retune if that is the case.
did you tune it after installing new injectors and fuel rail ? and who tuned it for you ?

I did first tune and now and to dyno and re tune again. I had some issues that i need to fix like spark plugs, MAP sensor (was waiting for sometime to arrive), IAT sensor (just changed it while doing the MAP), 2 ignition coils changed. Meth kit installed and when I got the first tune from Jeremy the car was tending to go richer and richer with every run. I stopped dyno at that time and I suggested I have fix the above problems and then go for the re tune again after doing another dyno to help in getting better tune. The above information was provided without using the Water/Meth spraying, but instead I used only water to see how it will effect the IAT. I could see a sudden drop at the WOT minimum by 3 degC.

WOT will depend on your tune, but usually you should see a steady advance around 17-20 degrees. If you see big changes at WOT, you know the ECU is pulling timing due to heat. This is expected behavior. Also, heat will cause ECU to go rich to cool cylinders.

Update, no more open circuit on injector Cylinder 6. Today, I just put 50/50 W/M and did small pull and temperature dropped to 3 deg above outside temperature. outside was 40.5 deg C and IAT was 43 deg C.
I am so excited to see what the car will do after the tune.

Thanx a lot Burce for your great help. I really realized that you are good fellow with great support and services.
I don't feel shame to say that I regret that I didn't get some of the parts that I have in my car through you

My kit is very basic one and simple. I installed mine at Tensai in Abu Dhabi but I am the one who instruct them in installing the nozzle (it was one), I have already order second nozzle that I will put above the TB housing as Bruce advised in one of the threads.
Tensai, they know a lot about Methanol and turbos coz there cars there are Evos, Subarus and GTRs. They do professional racing stuff too coz they participate in some rally racing and stuff like that.
