I will start it off, please list your exhaust make from headers all the way back to catback I put a request into the gods for a sticky, since this is such a hot topic.

  • Buckhead Imports Performance offroad x pipe
  • Stock resonator
  • Magnaflow Magnapacks with Vibrant matte black tips

I went with a sleeper route with my setup.

I have kleemann headers with the first cats deleted and the rest of the exh stock.

I like how it sounds and maybe down the road Ill swap out the mufflers for the cls55 since I heard they sound deeper.

Iwent this way becasue I dont want my car to sound like a american muscle car(no offence to other with loud exh)but its not my taste at all for my e55.

I also make massive low end torque with my setup

I would love for this to become a sticky for new members and existing members looking to change up their setups, so please add clips with your combo, otherwise it is useless.

The videos would be a lot more useful if they weren't taken inside a garage with the door rolled up....effectively creating a huge echo-chamber. This is not 100% directed at you, because I see lots of videos done this way; outdoors in open air would be a lot more representative of the "real" sound... and if the recordings were mic'ed properly, the audio wouldn't clip and distort as much.

Throwing revs when the car is in park is OK, but hearing the car "under load" would, again, be much more helpful as a real world example. I've seen a few videos out there where the author took the time to do some gentle "drive bys" to show typical cruising sounds...then a few aggressive drive-bys at full song. The icing on the cake would be a collection of standing starts....some at part-throttle, and at least one with the full-on tire shredding violence!

How does this compare to their "onroad" X-pipe? More power or sound?

These mid pipes have just started been made, and offroad just means it is catless. If you want a catted mid pipe, it will generate less volume, a little more low end tq and a little less HP up top. Pricing will also be higher due to cats.

This is a mockup of the mid pipe before tig welding minus the electric cutout you see:
