What is quickest run (ET) on STREET tires?
It was talked about a little in another thread lately but most was all about on stock cars with the 11.77 run. It was brought up from by someone they came across another member's sig that said 11.59 on street tires which was the quickest we knew of.
I have been searching and looking through a bunch of threads and it looks like the quickest ET is the 11.59@119mph done my E55AMGRocket.
Now I don't care what mods the car has, it can be running rocket fuel and a 500hp shot of nitrous for all I care, I am just trying to find the best ET while still on street tires which can be any size also, 17s, 18s, 19s whatever. Just not some kind of racing tire/drag radial but a true "street tire."
We are having a cold front move through Florida and it is looking like I could get some weather in the 50s tonight at the track so I want to go. The humidity is showing that it will still be high so I don't think I will have a killer DA (as in below sea level), but it certainly should be better than anything I have ever raced in with either of my cars and I am hoping it gets as close to 0 as possible. I really want to try and hit 11.5 with my 275/30/19 General Exclaim UHPs. I just hope the track is prepped well and I can get some grip like the last time I went. They had racing at a car show this past Sunday so that should help, but we also got some rain the last few days so not sure if that may affect anything at the track.
So, if anyone out there knows of a quicker time than 11.59 please post up.

I think my best was 1.74 and a 11.62 on Nitto Invos. NT05`s would work better . IMO

They were toyo R888's. Not slicks but road racing tires. That's when I had my silver bullet.

Yeah just some crummy General Exclaims. I went once before and couldn't do better than 2.0 and the last time the track liked to grip much better and I got some low 1.8s and a 1.78, so I am hoping it does that tonight as well. Not sure how traction will be since it is gonna get in to the upper 50s and last time it was more around 75 but we will see. I am hoping for the best.
Also was curious what the car weighed so I went by a trash place with a scale and it weighed 4180lbs with 1/4 tank of gas. I have the Pano roof and also a spare tire in the trunk and then the 19" SL63 AMG wheels.

I can vouch for the R888s, they're the best street tire I've had but they will wear out alot quicker than P Zeros and Pilot Sports etc. Wet performance is also fairly good but in the dry they really come into their own. They're actually more comfortable than I thought they would be considering the stiff sidewall. Noise is definitely more noticeable than the P-Zeros I used to have especially with the windows down. They cost alot too especially since you'll be changing them more often, that adds even more cost. At the end of the day they are about as close to road legal track tires as it gets. If you want the best tire for all out grip and traction, this tire is what you want. They're also a beautiful tire, aesthetically speaking

Track was a bust, only 20 people showed up and they didn't prep it. It was like an ice rink netting me mostly all high 1.9s and 2.0s with a 2.1 thrown in there somewhere. They cleaned the starting line and must have spit a little VHT on it because right after they did that I was the 2nd car to go and ran an 11.69@120 with 1.82 60ft and then very next run spun all over the place which happened for the rest of the night. Made 13 passes and only 4 were 11s from crummy 60ft times.
Did beat up on a 480whp Terminator Mustang a few times though. I think one race car went faster than me on one pass that did 11.45 and I was the fastest car there including a few old cars turned race car and two or three mustangs and camaros with big drag radials on the back.

I run PS2's and was lucky enough to run a 11.34 @ 125.9 mph at MIR, but the 60 ft was only a 1.89.... Post #21 on the link below shows my time slips and a pic. To me the Michelins are so smooth and quiet and do the job as well.....However for the future I would like to save up for ice (joking) for between runs and try some drag radials.

(Eventhough it was February it ended up in the mid to upper 70's that day ....of all days in February)
