Renntech IC pump upgrade

So I was talking this morning to Bob Brady about a Renntech modified car I was considering , and he said that the Johnson CM30 IC pump is garbage .. and that the one they use is custom made for them .. is that true ? I though the MC30 is the defacto upgrade most people use .. comments ?

Didn't renntech want a ridiculous amount for this pump? Loll

Best pump wp136, or oem replacement Bosch hd 010 pump.
Cm30 is junk, they fail too much.

I'm ready to replace the pump on my stock DD E55 and figure the Bosch pump is the best choice. Is the "better" "010" pump plug and play?

Couldn't seem to verify this in the search.

In the case of the Bosch HD , would you upgrade the Intercooler itself to a larger one or just the pump ?

Funniest thing is Renntech sells take off Bosch 010 pumps for cheap. I bought mine from them for $70 shipped. Here is a link since they have a few left in case anyone needs one...

Yea that is a great deal.. Funny I bought a brand new RennTech V1 about a year ago for only $500 brand new in the box, from them on ebay too.. That was a steal for sure.

Sorry if this is a dumb newb question, but was the newer Bosch 010 pump ever stock in the late model E55? Or is it always a upgrade over stock? Thanks.

tbal - yes its a 010. The bosch part number is what matters not the MB. You just need to request it on payment and it will show up as a 010. They are actually really good to work with. They also have the P30 limited slips as well for like $700 also...

pinknuts - it was a retrofit on the e55 I believe since I have a 2006 and it had the 003 revision. If your pump failed under warranty, they replaced it with the 010. I believe other models like the s600 might have recieved it stock.

Well, if my CM30 ever fails I will replace it with the new Bosch. However, the CM30's are really well designed and manufactured.

No the S600's had the lousy pump stock as well. Took mine in for warranty work, and YES they do install the new one. So far it has been flawless
