Fixxfest @ Bradenton Motorsports Park

So this was today and I must say...a lot of cars showed...sad thing is...it was the worst track prep I have ever seen and I honestly think they started throwing water on the track...

Everyone ran like crap...hot day @ 86F DA was 1779

New tuned and FBO M3's were running mid 13s at 108 at absolute best and about the same for 335's and 135's. Then a bunch of VWs running 14s 15s, 18s...

My best time was 12.769 @ 109.84mph with a 1.988 60 ft...that was my 2nd run of the day...everything else was like 13.2 or worse with like 2.2-2.3 60ft

Urbanworm was out there aswell...he can confirm generally crappiness of today.

Then there was a Rennhaus E55 that was owned by one of the track employees...he asked to run me and some how pulled off a 12.56 @ 119mph with a 2.4 60ft

Fastest times out there were set by USP's VW GLI with a 10.4...cant remember the trap and their S4 with a 10.00 @ 145mph

All in all...very crappy and disappointing track day...we deffinately need a better track around here and winter needs to come to FL

Sorry to hear about the bad track prep. I wish I would have known about this, cause I just drove back from Tampa this evening. Would have been nice to meet you and Urbanworm. Next time I guess.

Honestly you were probably better off saving that drive and the $10 to get in haha

I did talk to my old shop I took my 335i to, Lutz Performance, Apparently there is some private track rental going on next month and that Bradenton actually agreed to prep the track. Honestly...all of first gear was useless.

I only revved to 1k rpm...let off the brake to launch...and started spinning...don't know how that's even possible

Damn bro, that's crazy. Let me know about next month. I should have all my mods in by then, and I would like to see what she does.

Good meeting you, my car sucked at life today, it is crazy how much power I lose when it is 80+ outside, almost want a smaller pulley than this 180 since it is so dang hot most of the year in Florida along with high humidity. My best was 12.6@114, ran 2 or 3 of those and even trapped 111 like 2 or 3 runs, I couldn't believe it, it was depressing. And yeah they definitely didn't do any prep, I couldn't get in to it at all in 1st and tried using manual mode and short shifting to 2nd but that didn't help much.

That other E55 the guy said he had a 178mm pulley, 80mm throttle body, Renntech tune, shorty headers and exhaust. He ran a 12.6@117 when I watched him run you later right before the track closed and the weather was like 78* and humidity was around 60%. His car was sitting the whole time though since he was working so it wasn't hot running in the staging lanes like ours were.

I couldn't believe seeing those 2 or 3 new M3s all running 13s and most were like 104-106mph. That one had the big Active Autowerk stickers on it so I am curious what he had done to it, it was loud so I am sure he had exhaust but not sure what else (maybe a tune).

I have (in my garage) 185 pully kit, 82 TB kit, EC long tubes, EC fuel injectors,Quaife LSD, Magnaflow X pipe, EC mufflers, ASP idler pullys, and the EC heat exchanger and Meziere pump are already in the car. Jerry will dyno tune my car as soon as all mods are in.

We can do that. Im trying to get there next weekend. I'm just waiting on Chawkins' drag set up. I'm going to run stock first, then install the rest of my mods and see what the difference is.

This place is a joke.
Any AMG'ers planning on going this year? I hope to be there with my E55, mostly to race.
