Yep, my return home that was originally April 4th that was then going to the 1st is now again the 4th so I will only have a day or two home instead of close to a week but I will head down still. Just gotta figure out what day everyone is gonna do it, Friday or Saturday.

they told me to hold my breath and it would be ready asap before i can exhale so i am totally waiting on it!

wait, no they didnt, that was a dream

i am pretty sure once they saw people are wanting it for under 10K they were like "dude, no way we can make money at that cost if we only sell 20 of them.... lets go build superchargers for camaros and mustangs and then if we sell 5,000 of them at 5K and we can make a lot of money and its more likely to happen"

time and time again shows there is just not enough demand for larger s/c's or turbos for our cars... tuners put the bait out there and max 20 people show interest, and at the interest level of $10K or less per s/c, thats just not enough margins and profit motive for the tuner to pursue it.

No guys trust me they're ready and they have massive potential but you need to give Weistec your credit card details and maybe your bank account access details to get one. Cost is $40,000 for the blower and delivery time is NEVER. This is just like the EvoSport Top Mount project, they're liars.

They would have gotten more than 20 people so they're wrong if they thought only a few would buy. Not every AMG owner is on this forum and I bet alot of Middle Eastern buyers would be interested.

i think most guys in the middle east that have money, have rock star money and dont own 6-9 yr old e55's ... they own bugatti's and lambos.. they are probably not interested in a bigger blower at this point... when the car first came out sure, but 9 years later i dont think to many rich guys are picking up old mercs

True but some people have a thing for some cars you know, I saw a guy in Abu Dhabi who did this insane build on an old 560sec and spent alot on it. You're right though it's an old car but I still think there's alot of people who would if it was priced properly. I mean Renntech charge 7k for an airbox and TB so this would be a bargain

true would be a bargin, but unfortunately you see more and more e55 guys talking about going to the 63TT which means that is where the money is going and where the tuners are going to focus their time as there is a lot more money to be made on the new platform.

if there was lot of money to be made on making a s/c for our platform then you would see numerous s/c upgrade kits for our cars like you see in the mustang world... but that's just not the case here since the demand is lacking

Come on, you think middle east is different much than US or other part of the modern world? Yeah we can buy, we have some money, but we are normal people working and having enough money to live.

I think what he ment is not everybody is incredibly rich and even though alot of people live good lives it's not like everybody owns a Ferrari or Zonda. Plus they have a tuner culture there just like in the US which means they could go for a car that isn't new or has the best potential but just because. Remember the guy with the SLR engined SLK and E class.

I kinda have to disagree with this, reason being because Weistec themself said it would be affordable for all, so they obviously didn't plan on selling it for $15k like the 63 engine model supercharger. People asked what it was gonna cost and they said the "affordable for all" line. Next that brings me to the question of why would they make them for the 63 cars along with engine parts (cnc ported heads, internals as well as axles)? I can't imagine they would think they could sell even close to as many superchargers or those others parts for those cars as they would for the 55k engine cars that are in the hands of people that I would say are far more driven to mod the cars.

Maybe I am crazy and not thinking logically here but it seems to make sense to me It is like how many people on here have an E63 compared to an E55 and of those people how many have bought practically everything possible for the car that is available?

The way I see it is if you want to look at it the way of an E55 version for $10k instead of $15k for the 63 and why would they want to do it, well they would probably sell double in the E55 flavor. Even if they didn't sell quite double they are definitely going to sell more of them and say they sell 10 to 63 owners and 15 to 55k engine owners, we are talking $150k in sales vs $150k in sales as you see identical. And I realistically think they would sell far more to "us" making a larger margin between units sold for the different engine platform.
