Then going to buy a new bi-turbo for my daily driver..

Dont forget about the Texas mile,,, my 180mph in a 55 motor is still up for grabs. holding the spot for a year and half now and several cars have tried but to no avail.
Twin turbo's are fun!!! Are you going twins into the supercharger(compunds) of just twins and no supercharger? We'll have to talk soon

Jeez brotha, just when I thought having a similar fuel setup to you was a nice upgrade, you pull all this other stuff on me.

You going for steel suspension and super soft at that for great weight transfer at the drags? Or, setting her up for the mile which would seem way stiffer?

Either way, your sled is going to be hard to touch, even with the e55 platform.

No doubt you will be knocking out some 10 second slips this year.
In the meantime, could you post up the slip(s) you are referring to. I would like to compare your 1/8th mile splits.
You are very fortunate to have the track so close to where you live. There are only two tracks which I can run at, Atco (3.5 hrs away) and MIR (6.5 hrs). I would love to have more track time on my car in order to sort it out better.
Good luck on the 18th!

lol there are none on drag times but there are a handful of Kleemann ML55's running around. Kleemann recorded a 12.90@110 somewhere at somepoint so I guess thats something to shoot for. Either way it wont stay stock and it wont stay slow

I am in no way trying to compete with an SUV on an entirely different platform.

recap

I ran a 7.07, 7.09, 7.10 at Sumerduck drag way this fall and actually won the test and tune gamblers race that night running a 7.14 on a 7.13 dial. 7.0x 1/8th is right there at a 10.9x pass. On those runs I cut consistent 1.60-1.61 60ft's. When we tore the motor down to figure out where the power went we found a few problems but it will be back together for the next track day (we hope). I tore the engine mounts causing the manifolds to crack, head gaskets were blown and had a few vacuum leaks also and the worse was a broken converter that was killing power.

First off, congrats! 7.0X 1/8th is definitely on track with a high 10 sec pass. Not doubting you ran what you stated, but something is not right.
Here is what I don't understand, you did this with torn mounts, blown head gaskets, vacuum leaks (which also means boost leaks if they were after the s/c), a shot converter, and I believe you also stated a clogged i/c with worn out drag radials that were spinning through 2nd gear?
Was this before or after the MIR event? How about posting your slips from MIR then just to keep it simple?

Your worst nightmare...
If I get into the 10's I will be happy as a dog with a bone. Seriously. many people think the EV12 is fast but it is heavy as shiet. I am shooting for 10's. I am pessimistic what can I say.

This was after the 1st MIR rental when I found out the intercooler was clogged. The headers and motor mounts were fine back then and head gaskets were on their way out. I also had the new drag radials then and didn't have traction problems. Would you like receipts for the drag radial also? Since you think I'm lying ask Ahmad if it spins in 2nd gear. He drove the car that day at MIR and it blew the tires off half way thru 2nd gear. Guess I'll just have to take everything out of the car and see what it really runs.

Don't get your panties in a bunch, I'm not attacking you and never said you were lying. I'm admittedly curious of the claims you are making because they do not make sense, plain and simple.
You have to admit, it sounds odd that you ran the numbers you stated with all the issues which, again you pointed out. I didn't put any of those words in your mouth.
Forget about posting any of your slips...good luck at the track. Peace.

Ps. Not sure what you are trying to prove with the "pull everything out comment". I've always been completely straight forward with my weight reduction. If you are trying to imply that I could not run 10's with the seats and mufflers intact, you are completely wrong. My track time is few and far between, so when I show up, I'm there to run the best I can on that day.

Not looking good, my E is in the body shop right now. I'm going to try to make it down even if I do not have it back in time as this is panning out to be, "The Event of the Year".
I'll be bringing something special down for you....and no, it's not a Giants jersey! lol

Awesome! Yeah...come just to hangout, at the very least. Since you're the newsest member of the exclusive MIR Mafia, attendance is mandatory. Maybe those traveling in can bring their ole ladies and we hit a club on DC. Just a thought....

And by all means bring me a Giants jersey. I need a new towel to clean up my knuckle children baby batter.

Yeah, but only after I get my special gift. You need to get shirts made with your car on it, and individual named shirts for "owner", "pit crew", "Pilot", etc....

Hilarious.

I think there are more E's in the tens than we know of. Does anyone have an exact number or a guess?

First off that comment wasnt needed. You asked the question and i answered. The only problem the car had when I ran the 7.00's was pressurizing the coolant system but as I even told Bruce at MIR in Dec I could do 1/8 mile passes
and never have that problem back then. I never said your car wouldn't run a ten at full weight so don't know where that came from either. I don't really care what your car runs honestly as long as my car runs good that's all I care about. I don't get what your problem is really. I think it's "odd" your car cuts consistent 1.50 60ft times and you say the converter is stock. It sure flashes hard for a stock converter but did I say anything about it before?? No I didn't. There's a way to make a stock converter flash higher and get off the line like you seem to. It's called nitrous but did I say or accuse you of having it?? No I didn't. Point is we're all trying to do the same thing and go as fast as we can in the 1/4 mile. So let's do that and leave the bench racing and B.S. alone and all race and have a good time.
