I would say the price is off by 5k and 6k

1. there are options missing, pano roof, headlight washers

2. Although the exterior color is white and awesome the interior is not a desired color with the non designo wood.

3. It's an 09 so less than 500 were brought to the states. making it a bit more rare.

In the end it's your call if that's the car you want and what it's worth.

It has pano. And it has headlight washers.

Not sure, but the kbb lists it at $61k for a CPO with only 12k miles.

Also, when you say price is off by 5k "and" 6k..what are you pointing at? I am planning on offering them $53k and going from there.

Just saw the car in person.

Talked to the dealer. He wouldn't budge from 58.9K.
Car retailed for 98k in June 2009.

Here's you dilemma, while the car was once around $100k many dealers were selling them at the end of 2009 for quite a bit less. The new W212 E's had already come out and MB was given quite a cut back on them. So these cars believe it or not could be had new in the high $60k range.

These are the most recent auction prices- not sure of the conditions but they all have more miles and sold for much less. Even with all the auction fees added in plus dealer costs (recon, trans, etc)- your dealer is still asking too much:

What region is that? Man those numbers seem super high for W211 E63s, but if its true i should wholesale my car in that region. Its at least 6k to 7k higher than what we are getting in Chicago

Its good it has Pano, but it still doesnt have the button to wash your headlights next to the light switch, i am not certain how that option works or if its an option.

5k to 6k comes from me watching the price of the cars over the past 18 months on ebay and cars.com. You are buying a bit in the wrong season. FYI I bought my E63 2 years ago same miles close to the same price (A Bit more) but mine is a 2008. I have all options and Designo except I dont have Distronic and Performance Package.

Just my opinion, but I don't think this is the best place to ask about the price. If the car is in immaculate condition and you are happy with it, then pay what you are comfortable with.

Car is in immaculate condition.

I personally like the Pano with arctic white.

12k miles seems like a decent deal..since I'll be racking up significant miles on the thing.

That car did not sell for anywhere near 98k.
Some aftermarket warranties cover more than MB's extended and cost less.
If $55K is amount financed, spend some more time shopping, you could save ten-grand.
If $55k is cash in hand go lease/finance/buy a W212 E63

Good catch- the options dont come close to 98k on a 2009. Now maybe the dealer was talking about what the first buyer paid for it-------

Vic, be careful, Manheim trolls forums lately, and their data is proprietary. They've been going after people/sites that post it. Kind of like Carfax was doing for a while.

This is my biased opinion, but I would not be basing my purchase decision on CPO or not CPO. Overpaying by $5K on a CPO car, you can buy same car and a better, 5 year warranty for less money!

thanks for the input so far. So what are these aftermarket warranties many of you speak of?

MB will charge me 4500 for 2 yr extension to the certified warranty.

RE: 09 E63

IMO this looks like a nice car, not many out there with that color combo, options, and low mileage, and worth paying up a little for. The dealer knows that and it is getting to be selling season, it will sell.

See if they'll split the $4,500 for the extra 2 years of warranty, that warranty will pay for itself and give you peace of mind.

If you like and want the car, make the best deal you can and buy it before someone else does!

IMO, terrible deal. There is 07 E63 for $32K. As long the car is well kept, i don't think higher mileage is a big deal. $55K - $32K = $23K budget for a lot of repairs and upgrade (header)

+1

I *just* got home from picking up my E55 from that exact same dealership (MB Greenway) for some repair work.

Replaced belt tensioner and belt, repaired leaking rear main seal, and replaced motor mounts.

Total cost: $2,608
Out of pocket: $37

I have NAC Pinnacle 4 year / 60k miles warranty. It cost me $4,200. I've owned this car for about 7 months now and in two service visits the warranty has already more than paid for itself. And it's transferable. I don't have any other experience with other warranties, but NAC Pinnacle has been perfect.

If you can save $5k on a car, drop it in a 5yr/75k "exclusionary" warranty with $0 deductible. I didn't get mine from Bruce but he has a good rep on here.
